It all starts with playing the national anthem. Next thing you know they are flooding into our country and taking our jobs and women.
I was surprised when they did a poll on KXNO and 48% of people were against having the Canadian national anthem played. I didn't think it was that out of the ordinary considering they routinely play the Canadian national anthem followed by the USA anthem at hockey games (I've heard the order is reversed when the games are played in Canadian cities). It's not like they're trying to play "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion before the game starts.
I hope this is true. Ejim deserves it.....had this discussion the other day.......have we had a player that has improved from day one to his final senior game more than Ejim? We couldn't come up with anyone better.
Diante Garrett is another who comes to mind, although the coaching change probably had a lot to do with that. Loren Meyer really turned into a beast during his four years, too.
Homan was much improved over his career as well. I remember, his senior season, he added that little 10 ft jumper to his arsenal, and became a much bigger threat.
I thought about including Homan. He added a lot of muscle and had a special senior year. I wonder if the spike in his numbers during that last season was mostly due to not competing with Vroman for rebounds and shot attempts under the basket, though.
Couldn't you also say that Diante was benefited similarly by Craig's absence, making him the go-to player for scoring?
production is production, I say. We could spend all day delving into the reasons why players showed statistical improvement. In the end, does it matter? Homan play a lot better as a Senior than as a Freshman. So did Diante. Isn't that enough?
Creighton played the Venezuelan anthem for Gregory Echenique last year on his senor night. I thought it was a very classy gesture to show what that player meant to the team and university.
