Topic was just discussed on Murph & Andy. If Ejim wanted to play O'Canada on Senior Night, would you be for it?

I'd be all over having that happen for Mel
 
That would seem like a strange tribute.

That being said, O Canada is a great anthem. Allegiances aside, it's much better than ours.
 
Word from a pep band member is that the sheet music was distributed and it's been in this week's rehearsals. We'll hear O Canada right after the National Anthem.
 
They said Ejim came out and said he thought it would be cool. If he wants it, he can have it. Seems a bit odd but it's his journey.

Yeah, that's cool then. If I were him I'd ask for a dunk tape set to whatever Canada's verson of "American Badass" is.

I don't see why not and certainly not a strange request. I would do it first and not after.

Unfortunately, I think that ends up being something by the Barenaked Ladies, so.........

no, we won't be doing that.
 
I think it will be odd as most of us don't know the words...not that it matters....but yes I'm all for it.

Now......cyclone alley learned the words or passed out lyrics and sang with?....awesome.

Just be thankful that this was never done for Julius Michalik.
 
I am surprised at the number of people that find this idea odd or who would not be for it (overall, not just on this thread).

I think it would be a great thing. They should play the anthem right after or right before the US one and we should all be happy.

It's pretty obvious if you listen to his interviews, that he is a very proud Canadian. I am not sure why anyone would be against this.

I'm sure Murph and Andy are just fishing for some d-bag "'Murica is fer 'Muricans" caller to make some Monday ratings. Nothing more than that.
