Had a crush as a youngin’ on her.
Me too as I caught the show on syndication. The big debate always was Ginger or Mary Ann but to me it wasn't even close. Give me Mary Ann every time.
interesting that Maryann and the Professor weren't included in the initial black and white intro. Here is the updated one in color.
In the BW intro they introduced everyone else and then sang "and the rest." Later added "the Professor and Mary Anne...."
I just wasted about 20 minutes researching "does Gilligan and the gang ever get off the island?"
Yeah, I see nothing wrong with either one of them back in the day. Mary Ann always seemed like she would have less emotional baggage, and more fun, but enough about childhood fantasies. RIP Dawn. There is a series somewhere where she went fly fishing around the world. Should find it some time.
As I recall they did get off the island somehow, and then they had a reunion movie where they all got together again for a cruise on the Minnow and got shipwrecked again on the same island.
Just as others here have said, I had a crush on her growing up. For me, if it came down to Ginger or Mary Ann I'd take Mary Ann ten outta ten times.
My officemate has an autographed photo of Dawn Wells in his office. He met her at a convention or something.
Ginger would probably be more fun in the sack but then shank you right after for not complimenting her enough.
