RECRUITING: Some Xavier Simpson info

I bet this kid transfers after one year. It was known that he was a fall back recruit if they didnt get Winston. Plus he didnt get to know the staff or players or anything. Just a hunch

Strange, odd recruitment.......he never even visited Michigan did he? Makes you wonder a little what they offered. Oh well.........it's way early.
Apparently he snuck in a visit to Michigan on Sunday. Which is a testament to how odd his recruitment has been.

Wouldn't surprise me if he decommits later on either, with how much he seems to change his mind. Especially if a bigger school misses on a target and comes knocking.

Btw is it true he released a final 4 monday after his michigan visit and michigan was not on it?

How much will he play there? They have a JR. PG who isn't an early entry pro prospect and together they make a pretty small backcourt.

Odd recruitment to say the least. Oh well, we have a big visitor weekend lined up - hopefully some good news comes out of it!

Judging by articles that I've read about his wants and following his recruitment somewhat, I'm surprised he committed to a school that considered him as their Plan B.

Attending one of your dream schools >>>> Being the main man at some other school

This is literally the craziest thing I've ever seen, look at this article, safe to say it was a late Michigan switch

Xavier Simpson became the third member of 1st-Team All-Peach Jam squad to commit, selecting John Beilein and the Michigan Wolverines over Illinois, Iowa State, Wisconsin and Miami.
Simpson used the 2015 EYBL season to prove he is one of the top overall guards in the country. He took his game to another level in July at the Peach Jam, improving on each several regular season averages. The 6-foot-1 floor general averaged 16.5 points, 6.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals, leading the Shooting Stars to Bracket Play Saturday. He also snuck in this game-winner:

Simpson becomes the fourth member of the Wolverines' 2016 class, joining fellow EYBL'er Ibi Watson (All Ohio Red), Jon Teske (6-foot-11) and Austin Davis (6-foot-10) Simpson has been hailed by teammates as a terrific facilitator, possessing a killer mentality whenever he competes. He genuinely makes everyone on the floor better, an attribute that should attract more talent to Ann Arbor.

Literally?

Eh. He's kind of short.

Wasn't Adrian Moore Student Council President or Vice President or something like that? The son of one doesn't seem like a bad plan.

When did he change his mind? He was waiting on a Michigan or MSU offer all along and got it. The only possible time you could say he changed his mind is if he was truly committing to Wisconsin before the Michigan offer.

It wouldn't surprise me either if he decommits or transfers out. Don't take this the wrong way guys, but he seems to be one of those type of people to be influenced and not make his own decision. So this is why I feel he might transfer out after realizing maybe this isn't the right fit, or maybe not.
So wish him all the luck and I think Strong will be well worth this SMH situation. Strong remember has ISU ties. So let's home we get him, White, and Malou.
