Aside from the wild news day, busy day here.
The Deans at DMACC observe a class of each adjunct to make sure things are on track. Today was my (scheduled) day.
It went like I thought. Students were engaged, on point, and on fire. The Dean was having a good time and participated later on. The only regret I'll have: 30 minutes before the Dean arrived, a student started our pre-class socializing by thanking me for my enthusiasm, and said that I'm the most excited teacher she has, and it's not even close. I wish the Dean had heard that, but all right.
Now maybe they'll get around to talking to me about spring?
Give me the Dean's phone number, I'll call and tell him. I can do a convincing "college girl" voice.
