Aside from the wild news day, busy day here.
The Deans at DMACC observe a class of each adjunct to make sure things are on track. Today was my (scheduled) day.

It went like I thought. Students were engaged, on point, and on fire. The Dean was having a good time and participated later on. The only regret I'll have: 30 minutes before the Dean arrived, a student started our pre-class socializing by thanking me for my enthusiasm, and said that I'm the most excited teacher she has, and it's not even close. I wish the Dean had heard that, but all right.

Now maybe they'll get around to talking to me about spring?

Give me the Dean's phone number, I'll call and tell him. I can do a convincing "college girl" voice.

I feel guilty since I'm not that far away, I should have ventured at some time and bought him a drink. @BoxsterCy buy Pants a drink for me, maybe a shot of Yukon Jack or something, and since you are helping out, why don't you get something nice for yourself while you're at it.

Dammit let's all go up there and buy pants a drink. Maybe he'll get too drunk and decide not to go.

Not exactly sure.
Sc's thread had this one and it seems fitting for @cowgirl836

House Tp'd last night. Didn't do just the trees, actually hit the bushes in front and part of the front entry way. Son doesn't know that they hit his vehicle also. Doesn't need to go to school until around 11 so he's still sleeping.

God DAMMIT. Trying to at least give this a try and didn't look at the veggie dip ingredients before I ate my sad veggies and dip. Two of the first three ingredients are dairy :(
When I got home from work yesterday I looked in the fridge and there were carrots and dip. I started eating it and remembered that you said 2 of the first 3 ingredients were dairy. I checked and, sure enough, cream and skim milk. That dip was pretty tasty. I feel bad for you. Hopefully the little one just needs the digestive system to develop a bit more. With babies you just don't know but things usually turn out great. Our third child was fussy and crabby for 4 years. Now that she's 12, she might be the most positive-minded person that I know. That could be changing now that she's encountering math that is actually challenging for her.

I have always wanted to be on a jury but have always gotten out of it...mostly due to never living where I was called.

I do have a high school classmate and brief fellow boy scout that is on trial for murder here. Turns out one of our scout masters was called to be a juror but obviously quickly dismissed.

Do you play in the summer Bandshell concerts?
I used to play in the Boone Band Festival but haven't the last couple years because of my internship. I play with the Churdan Town and Country band so we mostly play for local pie auctions and the like but sometimes we get invited to the big festivals. I think they played in Fort Dodge this summer but again I couldn't make it back.

I expect that Joanna, our waitress superior, will be picking out our drinks for us.

I would like to do that but I'm taking my son and a friend to a Twins game. @BoxsterCy - Buy Pants a beer for me Actually, if you're buying, make it a scotch, and not one of those cheap ones.

Ah, ****, the Twins game is on at the same time a block away. Going to **** up parking, again. Although, cold evening is forecast and Twins suck so maybe not but they will still be spiking the parking rates.

On TP night here, one of my daughter's friends was pulled over (I guess on that night, the police just take away your TP). He tossed into the backseat of his car with a big pile of TP and said, "It looks like I might win the contest this year".

Did not know they had those.

We were at adventure land one year and was sitting near the tower of power/space shot or whatever its name is. There was one very large guy that they were trying to get seated. One guy was trying to push down the shoulder loop and hook the seat belt. He couldn't get it done so they got a second guy who was raring back and slamming into the shoulder loop to try to hook it. I figured if they are doing this, no way it locks and the guy probably flies out when they hit the top. I'm starting to get nervous that I may see a guy die. They couldn't get it hooked so they couldn't let him ride.

The guy leaves and crosses where we are sitting. Is complaining that he would have been fine and don't know why they didn't let him go.

I've known about them because my dad was a big dude. 6'5" 340+ for a while there until the cancer really started kicking in.

Anyway, he couldn't always ride with us when we went to Cedar Point and stuff because even the fat seats were too small. I'm not near that size so it caught me by surprise.

Years ago I was at CA World in Orlando. On Wednesday they closed down the Magic Kingdom just for us. There's nothing real exciting there. I rode Space Mountain a bunch.

Yea same type of deal. But I think CA world is canceled this year which made ours bigger. But a thunderstorm rolled through right as the celebration started so it was kind of a crapshoot. Everyone did the indoor rides while it was raining and then when it stopped everyone did the outdoor rides. So the waits were quite a bit longer than normal years.

Ah well, every single thing was free besides merchandise so I did a lot of those carnival games that I never do because they are usually scams. Turns out even when they're free, it's a scam.
