Not exactly sure.
I got a haircut yesterday. My usual, buzz it short. Man went crazy on my eyebrows also. probably an eighth to a quarter inch long. Was concerned I'd would look weirder than normal. Looked in mirror, even my eyebrows are so stinkin' thick that you can't really tell.

Congrats Sara, Fantastic!! You will do well I know. Will you commute? That seems like a little of a haul, or did you just move? For some reason I thought maybe he had changed places at least.

We'll be moving...but I'll be living with my in-laws for awhile. *eep* Time for us to stockpile some moving money, and for him to find a job.

I lived with my in-laws for roughly 12 hours, that was more than I could take. Good luck to your husband, hope it works itself out quickly. Does he want to stay in radio?

I think those may be czech or bohemian words. Like the names they have: Trchzrztscha. They put the a at the end because someone told them they needed a vowel.
Except, just like in Scrabble foreign words are not allowed, unless they have been assimilated, (like rendezvous).

Can I steal just a smidge of vixen's thunder, @SCyclone ?

I gots a job. (Hence the vague celebratory like posts on Thursday)

Start date TBD, but I'll be the accounting coordinator at the HyFive at Mills Civic & I-35 in WDM.

I'm in this weird, giddy, nervous mood.

Except where I live you run into these problems:

1) Too many bohemians and they still blend it in so they think its local.

2) People in this town are lucky to spell their name so we would be having to prove its not a real work every time, or that it was. They would probably spell cat with a k.

Always said this town would be fine if it weren't for the locals.

With all due respect to a new mother...it would be quite impressive if you out cry him. We have been there and the next couple of days will be less than enjoyable...but you get through it.

I did.

He cried for a couple minutes. Think I was still sniffly at five. Probably mostly because my doctor was like sure, try reducing/cutting out dairy and caffeine and I'm like but you don't understand. I'm a bit frustrated because I think she was rushed and said something about it helping with his spitting up but that's not an issue for him. It's sleeping poorly after his first wakeup at night (seemingly due to gas) and waking up crying pretty strongly until he moves things along. I don't know, maybe that's normal?
. I greatly reduced dairy over the past week and we had one good night and the rest not. But it can take weeks for the protein to leave your system and the baby's so I don't even know. He doesn't have the common symptoms of an intolerance so I suspect it's just an immature digestive system. I think caffeine is gone faster and I've cut that.

And I work the rest of the week (from home, thank God but in online meetings the entire time) so between his shots + poor sleep + can't eat anything I like or have caffeine to stay awake..............this is fun. So much fun.

God DAMMIT. Trying to at least give this a try and didn't look at the veggie dip ingredients before I ate my sad veggies and dip. Two of the first three ingredients are dairy :(

Anybody else have synesthesia?
I've decided I have spatial synesthesia. I'm very spatially oriented (probably why I have such an interest in land surveying) and I tend to visualize things based on where they are in space. For example, when I picture the months of a year, they are ordered in a sort of circle going clockwise, with some of the months longer than others. It makes no sense to anyone I try to explain it to but it makes perfect sense in my head. Also, I tend to relate songs to where I first heard them. Like I'll drive by a building and it will make me think of a song because that song was playing when I last drove by, and when I hear a song I can immediately picture where I was when I first heard it.

I walked all the way to class today only to realize it was cancelled because of the career fair. The problem is, I didn't go on Thursday because I thought that was the day it was cancelled. I should probably figure out what I missed. I might be related to @snowcraig2.0...

Went through food elimination with at least two of our four. Our 2nd ended up being allergic to eggs—she would have bad eczema, horrible nights, slow weight gain. But she had a host of other issues so we didn’t know exactly what was going on. She saw a pulmonologist for her lungs and one visit she had scratched herself bloody because of the eczema, so he was like “let’s test for allergies”. She was a whole different baby after I eliminated eggs. But all the milk I had pumped while she was in the NICU I couldn’t use because I had no record of what I ate on certain dates. My whole freezer stash was unusable. The third seemed to have allergy issues so I eliminated dairy which helped some? (All my babies were fussy so who knows). She ended up being allergic to peanut butter, always wondered if she would have been better if I would have eliminated that instead.

Heard from the final DMACC testing center today. Maybe time to get e-mail addresses for each center now.........
Also, setting up a make-up exam is so much different than at ISU or anywhere else. At ISU, "sure, what's your schedule?" Set up a room and we're good.

Here, there's a paper to fill out, turn in the exam (which is a struggle to print), and I have no idea how the exam ever gets to me.
Or they told me I could set it all up online through the copy center. Problem there is that the copy center's system doesn't cooperate with off-campus computers.

Seems like a system that relies so heavily on adjuncts like me could make things simpler for adjuncts like me.

Ugh, that sucks, poor little baby. I'm wondering about my stash as well. Plus if it's real, it takes weeks for milk protein to be gone so I couldn't even rebuild until I'm back at work which means it'll be way harder. I'm really hoping it's not the case as he doesn't really have any other symptoms. Though she did say he had mild baby eczema at his 1 month which is really common. It was basically just some rough skin it's better now. No vomit, excess spit up, crying after eating. Etc.

So, how do you feel about words with no vowels, like brr, shh, nth, cwm?
I don't think of any of them as real words except for cwm. If it only exists as an interjection, I doubt if it is really a word. $#!+ can be an interjection but it is useful in so many other ways - it can be a noun or a verb and has forms that can be adverbs and adjectives.

I once got in a fight with an old girlfriend because she said that, "Donut is not a word, it is spelled doughnut." She worked at a doughnut place. I argued that donut is a variant. If you play Scrabble much just get a Scrabble dictionary and avoid the fights.
