So many words coming, but it's a no. Dude went down to the wire before taking the job.
Search chair sent a nice note. Somehow this dude has years of experience in the exact courses they wanted to teach and a strong publication record.

Since newly-minted PhDs don't come with more teaching experience than me AND he piled in the publications, I suspect this chap has been faculty at some school and managed not to make the tenure cut. Along the way there, and this is how my job quests usually are, he was more than likely impossible to beat and I damn near did it.

I can about guarantee that I won the interview. I always do. With the responses and the rare feedback from the process (it's really unusual in academic searches, so they thought really highly of me), there's a real good chance that the committee even recommended me and then was overruled by the department chair, which would mean that I won the game and got Kansas'd or Crafted right in the end.

So, ***************************. Should have had that one, but I know that outstanding programs will go to the wire with me, and the chair was pretty nice in her expression that the job search should be good to me next time around.

I lost this round. I'm pissed off, but I see a clear strategy from the feedback I received that can make me the ringer next time around.

So sorry. Maybe calf will come this weekend and give me a smile. Will still keep an eye out on jobs. Need MIssissippi gator to go looking for second breakfast.

Of the Adviser positions I applied to, my favorite on e-mailed me about half an hour ago. Might have been a group e-mail, but I'm gonna believe it's all about me.

They said to look for things to move forward in late August. That'll be one of our 2 best options right now. Pays better than other options and gives some strong experience I can put on the CV and applications. I should have a strong shot at that one.

Is that a local one?

World Languages and Cultures at ISU.
It was a fun cover letter to write since language study fueled a whole lot of my education.

With today's e-mail, I expect to get an interview. Things ought to go pretty well from there.

Oh good, so life can proceed with Z’s school and such anyway, and then another school cycle for a more organized move if necessary.

My mom's banana cream, and black raspberry pies. Pumpkin pie is third, but has to have a dollop of whipped cream.

Our first took a full 24 hours from water breaking to delivery. She still procrastinates, just like her dad.

That is like, DH's top trait. So I fully expect this kid to take their time deciding to arrive. So cmj may get his wish and they'll like chocolate. Ultrasound pic looks like baby DH so I think he's winning the genetic battle.

What language(s)? Because I have an alert for a few colleges and they send me all jobs for whatever reason. One of them was Hispanic language associate professor. Charleston, SC

Thanks, it’s a topic that most don’t mention but CG well past ten weeks. My mom, MIL, three SILs, sister, and a niece have all miscarried, it is pretty common.

My biological mother miscarried twice between my brother and myself.

I don't talk to her anymore but my sister miscarried 3 times before she had a child who ended up passing away from SIDS 7 days after birth. Another miscarriage between that and the birth of her son who should be 9 or 10 about now. I don't know how she kept trying to be honest.

Miscarriages are a legit thing that need to be talked about more but it's pretty taboo in our culture. It's not the mothers fault, **** just happens.

In not sure if my genes matter that much but I am concerned for my future wife because of my family history regarding it.

Sorry about the job down south Erik, good luck on the ISU and DMACC applications.

Cherry, Rhubarb, Blackberry, Apple, for my pie list. My mom and sisters can all make an awesome chocolate cake I've tried to make it multiple times and I can make an ok one but it never turns out quite right. No idea what I do wrong/different. But on the plus side I can make tapioca like a chef.

To continue this baby talk...A good friend of ours went into delivery early while they were moving to a new house and her husband was out of town. Guess who is out of town again and who is getting a ride as we speak from MrsWx to the hospital?!?! Twins this time.
