So you do "...know the way to San Jose"

Meh, KC will get it.
One of the songs my parents tortured me with on road trips.

My kids have now threatened to put together a playlist of bad music that I make them listen to. So far that consists of Van Halen, AC/DC, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Buffett, Tom Petty, REM, U2 and especially the Beastie Boys.

I've got a buddy coming up Labor Day weekend. Bought some Twins tickets and he's like "we should get drunk and go to the Minnesota fair too!"

I'm like, eh......even drunk, I don't know about that....
At some point you probably should go to the state fair but you may want to wait at least a year. We go every year (I could use a break every once in a while but Mrs. JCyclonee loves it). The most important things to do are people-watch (freakshow), be patient and don't take anything too seriously.

Any downtown bar in Mpls > state fair. Jeez, if this guy is coming up from Iowa you should check out The Local or Britts and other downtown spots. Cowboy Jacks would be good on a game night.
I'll agree with this sentiment. You may feel a bit old at the bars in the Warehouse District but Cowboy Jack's is great for a game and Britt's (not in the Warehouse District) was one of my favorite places when I used to frequent downtown. If you're wanting to see some iconic Minneapolis locations near Target Field you can try out Gluek's and The Loon.

Also, if you're lady friend comes to visit, spend a day/evening/night in Stillwater. It's probably my favorite place to visit in Minnesota. You may want to avoid festival weekends as parking will be a nightmare at those times.

Did it start to die from the bottom up? Ours started to and we sprayed them with a Fungicide and that stopped their death spiral.

well, I've got four in a pot. One of them had just gone crazy, getting huge and filled with little tomatoes. We had a windstorm a few weeks ago and I noticed that it had somehow fallen outside the cage. So I was trying to carefully get it back inside because it needed the support. Kinda got that done then picked up the pot to move closer to the house so it would be shielded from the wind better. "Snap".

Turns out that big one had grown out the drainage hole in the bottom of the pot. That's why it was doing so much better. I tried to get it reset in a new position but I was afraid that it had quite a bit of root in the actual ground that it wouldn't recover from. Some of the branches still have a bit of life but for the most part it's a goner :(

Clonee provides another flashback. When i was Pants age I used to hang out at The Loon a lot. I miss the Margarita Sisters, two gals from St. Paul who frequented the place. My favorite waitress from back then is now one of the owners. Upward mobility!

How would that be punishment?

And dollars to donuts some yutz headed northbound on Beach will stop traffic each of the next few mornings when they decide that the "No Left Turn" into Richardson Court does not apply to them. Happens every year. Every.single.year.

The International students are mostly here already. The apartment living ones too. :p
Do they allow freshmen to live off campus in apartments? Things have changed, I know. Just curious. All freshmen had to be living in a dorm, in a Greek house, or in their parents' home back in the day.
