I'll keep it short tonight. I started by serving well - got us to 6-0 but my serving rest of the night was pretty hit or miss, boo hiss.

But we won in 3 pretty easily. They were scrappy but only 4 people. They served well. We were down like 3-10 in the second but then ran off like 6-8 points.

I had a couple good digs, too. Oh yeah, DH dug a ball over and in with his foot. That was cool.

Been the Minnesota State Fair once. 17 year old Boxster went up to the Twin Cities the summer after HS graduation with some friends (college boys) to catch a couple Twins games and ended up at the fair of all places. We were actually lost and ended up over in St. Paul and saw yard signs renting rooms for the fair so that's where we stayed for our baseball weekend. So close to the fairgrounds we kinda had to go one night. Never been back.

I've got a buddy coming up Labor Day weekend. Bought some Twins tickets and he's like "we should get drunk and go to the Minnesota fair too!"

I'm like, eh......even drunk, I don't know about that....
 
Oh, obviously CG's running inspiration did not kill me this evening. Just as slow as last time but not as taxing. I think I may be adjusting my pace to what I can actually run as an ancient old ****. Body has memory of decades ago pace and wants to default to that. Trying to relearn pace. Some progress made, I think.

And my foot did not hurt...the reason I had to quite running in the first place.

Any downtown bar in Mpls > state fair. Jeez, if this guy is coming up from Iowa you should check out The Local or Britts and other downtown spots. Cowboy Jacks would be good on a game night.

Oakland. Gonna try to get to Salt Lake City in the first day. Have a friend that lives in Casper, WY so going to go a little out of the way to meet up for drinks then crash in the guest room the second day, then Mason the next and head up to Minneapolis that weekend.
 
Help! I mentioned to Lew that there are four Cyclones in Rio, but then the only one I can remember is Hillary Bor in the steeplechase. I've been searching, but with no luck. Does anyone remember who the other 3 were?

Marathon runner for south Sudan. Male.

Didn't know Bor was steeplechase and I watched that.
