Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

Went home to take a shower and change clothes. Maybe not the most efficient, but I found new places to sweat I think. Go back and more or weed trim some.

So I am thinking about getting more serious about the whole running for fitness/fun thing and was talking with a friend. They suggested going to Running Wild (A local running store) to get shoes so I know that they are good, will fit and what not. He said he spends $130-$150 on a pair and goes through 2 ish pairs a year. Is that normal?

Yes, except of the $130-150 a pair. Unless you have problems you may not need to buy the most crazy expensive. Or get the close out models. It's not like they are reinventing shoe tech every year.

I would look at fitting and such on a site like Road Runner (assuming you have no special needs/hurts etc) to at least get an idea on your own feet and whether you need cushioning or stability or both etc.

it's deceiving as I sit here running my heater. Looks breezy and sunny. No haze and can't see the heat radiating from the parking lot.

RUNNING HEATER???!!!! WTF?! Too COLD? To a person outside sweating, those are fighting words. You're lucky it's too hot outside or you would look like the lady I saw in the clinic.

$12 copay for a doctor visit? That seems suspiciously low.

I also find it ridiculous. But they crank it up because the upstairs gets warm. I sit downstairs. I have two degrees of temp control in my office. I'm probably not the only one down here running a heater, either. I can't imagine the amount of energy waste from it.

Sorry WDSM, sounds like CG is cold downstairs.

Even the 5 minutes to take Lulu outside seem like too much right now. Temp of 95, dew point of 77 and feels like of 111.

shut off my heater now.Wonder if the server is overheating or something like in tv shows when hard drives melt. Transferring at the speed of molasses. Wonder if it's going to take a **** again like this morning. Gah, it better not, I'm so close to done.
