A friend in Grant County Wisconsin is claiming they saw a mountain lion. The trail cam pictures they posted are less than convincing.
there's def been one in our area back home and that's not too far away.
how hard is it to paint rooms in a house? I've painted barns and helped my mom a bit indoors but never really paid attention. Walls are already white so not sure if we need to do a primer coat? I've heard new build walls can sometimes need more paint because they are drier?
and that it may be easier to just get the right kind of brush to do around trim vs. taping.
Thinking this will be our next project now that landscaping is done (for this year). Plus I know if I get pregnant and we have a baby.........these walls will be staying white(ish) forever.

What was the scam? Might serve as a PSA for RTT.
Just make sure you buy the painters blue tape. It's whole purpose is to prevent peeling off paint when you remove it.the upstairs at my parents is those plaster walls. My mom has never bothered repainting those. Pretty sure we have duct tape over the worst spots.
Unsure if they primed before painting the walls in our house. What kind of edging tools? We plan to use drop cloths. I wonder if I can put tape on the very top of the trim and use a stiff brush to edge with. Maybe that would be enough to protect most of the trim but then not risk the tape peeling off paint.
Most of the colors we (I) have in mind are lighter. Our bedroom I'm thinking something like this but the rest would be fairly light.

CG, painting is pretty easy. Like Bawbie said, most paints come with a primer already built into it. Just don't go cheap with it, and you'll be okay. I'd tape off the trim. Also, that blue is really pretty and would make a great bedroom color.
Going to a luncheon today to hear Malala Yousafzai speak, pretty excited. I'm sure it'll be inspiring and make me realize that my problems in life, really aren't that bad.

Bawbie's right. Most paint includes primer so I wouldn't worry about doing primer separately unless the walls are in really bad shape or have mildew (you can use mildew resistant primer). Also, just plain primer really smells bad. The edging tool looks like this:It's not hard at all, unless you live in an old house with plaster walls that have a bunch of holes and cracks in them (grumble grumble). I go with the 'you can't have enough painters tape and drop cloths' because I will get paint where I don't mean to.
Most paint comes with primer mixed in anymore, if you get that I can't imagine needing primer for the white walls.
