dang! forgot to add the can of diced tomatoes! Shoot. But I can confirm that lasagna is great for hiding veggies. Very delish.

Did the Rhubarb thing today.
Picked and cleaned and cut up.
Cooked it down with a bit of water.
Added 2 boxes of Strawberry Jello. Still a bit sharp. Added another 1/2 c of sugar.
Mixed up a box white cake. Swirled in the rhubarb/strawberry mix. Thought I had frozen strawberries. Nope. Oh well.
Baked and cooled. Sliced a piece and drizzled some frosting on top.
Yum.
Never did rhubarb until this year. Never really wanted it. But it grows next to the garden so decided to use it. It's the red stuff.

Regulars here are dropping like flies. Aliens would be the logical explanation. Pretty soon it's going to just be me trying to stay awake and not be replaced by one of the pods.

I did not, but figure since we had some yesterday on the way home, that's close enough
Going on an hour and a half of trying to get LittleWx to sleep. Last night he was up at least half the night screaming and it looks like we are heading down that route again. We thought he had another ear infection so we took him in but it is just a virus so that probably isn't helping. Just frustrating that he won' let us console him and just screams and want's to play.
Naps fine during the day without fuss though.

I need to complain more. He gave up around 9. In related news I ordered a WiFi security camera to use as a baby monitor.
I live in a pretty sketchy neighborhood by Cedar Rapids standards, and I pull up to my house and there's a car with emergency blinkers on. I can clearly hear this black lady just going in on whoever the passenger in her car is, like domestic incident level of aggression. I walk to my yard and just holler "hey keep driving." Probably not my best idea, but I didn't end up a statistic.
