rained about 5:30am here.

two miles, I can knock out two miles quick. I will go do that now. Then I should clean and do laundry. Seems nice outside.

haha, I forgot to post this a couple hours ago. Now I'm done running, weeding, weedwacking, putting pest stuff on roses and deadheading some plants.

Yay all done!

trying fridge pickles. Used on cucumber, red pepper, dill, and some garlic. But didn't have enough fresh garlic so used powder. Shall see how this goes.

CG - do you watch horror movies? I just remember an Irish horror movie I watched a few years back which might be right up your alley, since it had to do with cow reproduction and genetic experiments:

The willpower to go out and get something that involves ice cream & chocolate is wearing thin.

nope, not much of a horror/scary movie person!

fridge pickles are pretty solid. We had doubled the sugar but I think we can double it again. DH thinks a bit less red pepper. I think if it were just sweeter, it'd have the right amount of spice. Maybe more dill, too. Easy way to try different recipes though, have to start collecting them when coworkers start leaving them for people to take. I'd been grabbing the zucchini to freeze for zucchini bread.

Wind gusts at 26 mph sucked at times but a good ride.

Only ride highlight was a corgi sighting at mile 7. Two wet corgi's fresh from their dip in Lake of the Isles.

I'd like to try getting into coaching. Not like, big time, by any means, just like, middle school position coach kind of coaching. Just to pass some of the summer and fall, maybe get a couple of extra bucks and help teach fundamentals. But I'd have no idea how to find positions available and/or get my foot in the door.

Pants no idea about Hawaii, I would suggest talking to your local middle school administrator. I think in Ia. you need to be certified, but it's pretty easy just some course at a community college, at least that is how it is for reffing. I always thought being a VB ref would be a pretty easy gig.

I assumed there was certification at some point. Probably at the very least some first aid type training.

I did the Reffing certification in college. That's easy peasy stuff.

Iowa condenses it into a 2-3 day course. Some will take volunteers that aren't certified. Our school doesn't. Can't even help for a day.

Ohhh grrrr....

I fell for a frickin' bloody phishing scam. Knew it as soon as I did it. I contacted the credit report agencies and put an alert on it, so I hope that mostly took care of it.

Dagnabbit, I'm smarter than that.

Cut up the fennel bulb to cook with Italian sausage and added squash into our lasagna. See how this goes, fennel mix tasted good. Have a feeling that lasagna will be a good place to hide veggies!
