Is this Stagecoach? If so, that must be Thomas Mitchell shooting from inside the stagecoach. Most people today remember Mitchell for his role as Uncle Billy in It's a Wonderful Life but other memorable roles were in Gone with the Wind and Mr. Smith goes to Washington.
I think that's PapaLew inside the stagecoach.

Same I know people that got a lower ACT score than me and got in.

Than they have a higher GPA than you. Your counselor can walk you through it and tell you what you need.

I thought Iowa State accepted everyone.

Myth

I was a probationary student meaning I was right on the line. The only way for me to make it was to move in June after hs, take two classes and finish those with at least a 2.5 GPA. Worked my ass off and barely made it (******* math) and four years later of even harder work I graduated on time. Not sure why I felt compelled to give my life story but there it is.

I do not hate this commercial.

I like this commercial but at the same time hope we don't have to do anything like that for our Goldens this winter

First volleyball practice tonight for the 11 year old. I guess I'm helping out. On the way home, she and her friend L asked me to play Livin' on a Prayer. The rule in my car is that when that comes on, you sing it at the top of your lungs. We pulled into L's driveway and the song wasn't done. I had to roll down the windows until L's mom came out. "I thought I heard Bon Jovi in the kitchen."

Also, I learned that one time when L was over this summer, the teenage girl and her boyfriend were over too. They put a picture of the teenager on the toilet seat and a picture of the boyfriend under that picture, suspended by the rim. Evidently, neither of them went to the bathroom in that bathroom though.

One thing I will never understand about some people is how they will ride their viewpoint till the death. On another website a guy is fighting with everyone else over how he stated something and is calling it an us problem because we didn't know what he meant.

First school soccer practice for our 11 year old as well tonight. They have 23 players on the varsity squad because they didn't want to go to asking 5th graders to play if they formed a varsity and a JV squad. Most of the other schools in the league don't have JV teams so they would play varsity squads pretty much every week anyway. I think they had the only JV team last year which made for a rough season.

I'm curious if they will have some players on that deep of a bench who will rarely if ever see the pitch. Some are definitely not ready to play middle school (6th through 8th) soccer.

I was thinking about my summer course this morning. I forgot that one of my summer trial students was a summer trial student because this one got after everything and did the work.

Nice work taking advantage of the opportunity!
