My Dell laptop is about 5 years old now. It has a 2.20 Ghz Intel Core i7 processor and 8 GB of RAM. Performance wise, it has been pretty solid. Lately I've noticed that it sometimes has trouble playing HD video and loading other graphic intensive webpages. I'm still using Windows 7. Should I upgrade to Windows 10?

I started watching GoT yesterday. I'm up to Season 1 Episode 7 now. I borrowed a Blu-Ray of the first season from a friend. Is there a good way to watch the old seasons to get me caught up to the current one?
I can't watch that show because there's too much torture, so this is all I can contribute:

HBO has a streaming app now for non cable people like myself. HBONow, its like $9.99/month and has all of the stuff on it.

Full disclosure, I'm mainly a 'basic user', not a hardcore one, but haven't had much trouble with the win 10 upgrade. It's supposed to run 'lighter' than 7 or 8, and i'd say for my laptop, that's the case. However, i'd say that when this laptop takes a ****, i'm probably going chromebook. On my 2 streaming boxes, chromebox and hp stream mini, chromebox runs circles around the windows hot mess.

A microwavable bag of Uncle Ben's wild rice, some Cholula hot sauce, some salsa, and some shredded cheese makes for a pretty damned good quick chip dip.

Lulu has a knack for finding things to chew on that I didn't even know existed. Like the pen I just took away.

It took me two nights, but I finally caught up on insomnia weekend. I couldn't stay to exercise on Monday. Teacher had way too loud throbbing music for my head to deal with. I was able to do leg day yesterday. Exciting times!

Cute kid story:

Z was downstairs and wanted the Teddy Graham box. She walked to the living room and told me to sit on the couch. Then she turns to the living room and loudly proclaims, "Going to Olive Garden tonight!" I broke up laughing. We don't normally eat out during the week.

I normally don't vacuum under our living room couch (there's only a two inch clearance), but I decided to move everything around this past weekend and giving it a good once-over. My cats managed to ferret away 18 random items under our living room couch.

There were several of my daughter's toys, twist ties, a quarter, the head of a stuffed chipmunk (R.I.P. Stripey), an old shoelace that had been thrown away, a feather from our cockatiel (not asking how that happened), a golf ball (I haven't golfed in years and have no idea where it even came from), a rock and two straws.

I got a bunch of free petunias yesterday afternoon (they started too many - there were about 100 plants in 4" pots for the taking)...so I brought them home, and decided to get them and all the rest of the plants I had ready into the ground before all the rains forecast for the next few days.

Yeah...may have bit off more than I could chew. First time in a while I have had to take the prescription painkiller for my back when ibu wasn't good enough. Not moving very well today...so I took a vacay day to relax and let the heating pad do its work. I'm sitting here with the windows open, enjoying the breeze & the bird sounds.

But the petunias look really pretty (they're dark red & pale yellow...about as close to cardinal & gold as petunias will get), and my Irises finally opened up, but only the the deep purple ones. I've only had bloom shoots on the white iris once (two years ago), and the gold/brown iris has yet to bloom. I planted that corm when I planted the whites, and it grows big full leaves, but never blooms. I know irises take a couple of years to settle into their new spot and get crabby if you move them, but dang...five years? :(

My Asiatic lilies also seeded themselves out just a bit; I have a few that popped up where I didn't plant them. That's okay though, it's what I wanted. Not much sun on this garden, so it's basically a hodgepodge of lilies, hostas & columbines (and one small edge of irises)...perennials that come back every year and don't require a lot of input from me. :)
