Yeah, I see that now too...Mods, if that needs fixed, have at it. I don't have any problem with it, but I never know what someone's going to pitch a fit about around here.

My bad, I didn't even think that was what you were talking about. I don't think we'll spiral into politics in this thread.

No harm, I just didn't realize I grabbed a hotlink in my quote. I didn't intend to, but don't think it's worth going back for, but if the mods think it's worth it, they can.

some Union general had his men blow up a tunnel to get into Petersburg. Then two regiments marched down into the crater and couldn't get out. Fish in a barrel.

Mr. General wasn't even watching. He was in his tent with a bottle of rum

At this point of the episode, DH turns and says "sounds like you!"

I take offense, I would at least watch if I were general! Plus I'd tell them to go around the giant hole in the ground. Yes, a straight line is the shortest distance, but let's be smart about it there.

What show is this?

I've been watching Ken Burns' Civil War while I cross stitch. We're getting to the end though. Thinking Sherman is burning up Georgia tonight.

McClellan just unsuccessfully ran for President against Lincoln. One of McClellan's former soldiers (whose diary they feature) said "the best thing the army of the Potomac (that McClellan led, er, sat around and let molder, two different times) did was to vote for Lincoln."

OOOH! That's on my Netflix Watch List. I love war documentaries.
