My mom once gave me some life advice for the future for when I get married:

"In a marriage, you can either be happy or you can be right. You can have it both ways. Which way do you want it to be?"

I responded: "I want to be right....it makes me happy."

The movie Armageddon came out when I was like 10. I just watched it on HBO. Clearly I was too young when it came out to realize how sad of a movie it is.

We all love our moms, but as a married man, and now a father, I must point out the detail that it was a woman who told you that being right and being happy are mutually exclusive...and that...is the important lesson there.

Is the lesson that woman will lie through their teeth to keep you unhappy?

Either that or that if you choose to be right, you'll be miserable....I think it's a pick 'em, really.

But, since you're still up, Chris mentioned that they're looking for a sponsor for the podcast...you should work that with the overlords...I mean, admittedly, in your business, you might better market to trailer park Hawk fans, but we don't have to share that with the muckety-mucks, right?

I don't know what business you think I'm in.....

C'mon, man...I may not be on facebook, but I got your name and location, don't think I didn't find your linkedin profile.

Oh! Yeah, that's what i did in Indiana. I got completely out of that when I quit and moved. Too volatile and hostile of a business. I mean, I was awesome at it because I'm kind of cutthroat, but working for the devil gets exhausting after 8 years.

I really should update that. I only create a linkedin in the first place to apply for jobs and look more professional.
