Only modification I do is use a whole pound of noodles.
Oh, and I use medium cheddar instead of sharp.
Seriously, if you eat the boxed mac n cheese, this isn't that much harder if you buy shredded cheese. Just mix up the sauce stuff (minus cheese) while the mac is boiling, then dump it in and add the cheese, stir until melted...way better than boxed stuff.
*edit: I guess the only other 'hard' part of it is having the stuff on hand. the boxed stuff is just the box, milk, and butter/margarine, but this is more ingredients. I solve it by always having evaporated milk in the cupboard and shredded cheese in the fridge.
Reason why I am glad we are not staying in this stupid apartment
1. Garage door opener isn't working (yes, we checked the battery, the conductor thingies are too wide and don't always touch the battery) Set up a time to get it checked out today. I walk up at 4:45 (said I'd be there shortly before 5) and they have a sign up saying be back at 5:30. Dude, you said you'd be here.
2. Get to apartment and have a notice that we are finally joining the 21st century and can now pay rent online. But only from checking/savings and for a fee of $1.50 per transaction. Ummmm, I thought the whole spiel behind raising our rent 8% this year was to pay for **** like that? Apparently it was just for the reduction in bathroom lighting, new door knobs on only a third of the doors in our apartment, and one new light fixture in the place we cared least about. Seriously, it looks even trashier now because nothing matches. There are gold handles and silver knobs. Track lights + boob lights.

Our online banking is free so we have a check mailed to our landlord company every month automatically. No fee whatsoever. Technically paid online since we never hand write a check and pay the postage to mail it to them.
have tomorrow off and have no idea what to do. And it's going to be hot.......maybe I should have chosen the consistently AC'd office!
