There is so much stupid going on in these boards lately. I can't decide if the start of a new sports season will cause less stupid or create more stupid.
I think some of the cave regulars are starting to figure out why I'm no more a die-hard Democrat than I am a die-hard Republican.
I also think there are a lot of lonely, bored Hawk fans trying to stir things up on football & basketball threads. Rumor has it that HN is an uninhabited wasteland right now...
It does seem to be at an all-time high this summer.
The whole Cheik Diallo not finding playing time at ISU, or our 2nd team MBB team placing any higher than the bottom of the conference, might have just sent it over the edge.
I think part of the problem is the Hawk trolls that seem to be making their way over. I'm fine with some of them that actually make good argument and good conversation, but I'll never understand some people's desires to go to a competitor's message board and pose as a fan of that message board just to bash on the team of that message board. What's the point?

Be fair. Some of those threads have double-digit post counts. That's pretty fast-moving stuff.
No one said Diallo would not find playing time, the argument was who starts between him and McKay.
Seconded..."summer stupid" is generally just intellectually stupid...Bad football stupid (and bad basketball stupid, when that was a concern) is intellectually stupid and whiny/fatalistic.
That's not random. That's fact. Simple solution: Get 2 kiddos. No nanners past their prime at the 00clone household. Bad reason to have kids, but it is a solution to the problem.
Dandy should use this as a pickup line.
