I can work as many hours as I would like and get paid OT, but I would rather be under 55.
The double edged sword of being salary. I think I worked about 90 per week for four months. Gotta balance it out a little in the offseason.
Ha, you don't know the half of it. I graduated in 97, didn't start at ISU until 98 and still waited until 2000 to start marching band.

I was the Baritone section leader so if she was a baritone while I was there, I knew her.
I did a little searching. I think she actually started in 2004. I remember the first year she only played for half the home games because they had more members than uniforms. She also played in the pep band for a couple of years. You two probably didn't overlap.
To the question of how many hours, it’s intuitive; I don't have a nice clean above/below the line number for you.
My feelings on this harken back to the false premise of a graduate school soc course I took back in the day on recreation and leisure time. That was 40 years and the projection was the “future†(which is now) would be unbelievably awesome with the then established 40 hour work week going down to 24-32 hours. What would people be doing with all of their extra leisure time? Keep in mind this was on the tail of the post WWII economic boom and that influenced the viewpoints. Rather than working 6 or 7 days a week people were already down to the 5 days week and an 8 hour day and why wouldn't that just keep trending down? Of course the tech that was projected to “free†us in many ways ties people to their jobs all of the time (emails/computer access 24/7 etc). Oh, well, we won WWII but the Europeans won the leisure and rec time.
That's a good call. Who your boss will be is a vitally important part of taking a job, especially with an internal promotion. ~4 years ago I agreed to take a management position after my boss moved to a different position because his boss would have weekly top-of-the-lungs swearing barrages at him. One of the big reasons I agreed to take the job (other than I didn't want to hire and train his replacement) was that they re-did the reporting structure and I'd be reporting to someone else.
I turned down an opportunity a couple years ago because of who I'd be reporting to......and their attitude toward taking time off, leaving on time, kids, etc. I had to do the job for about a year anyway while they worked on hiring someone and while I learned I could do the job and got some good things out of it.....it confirmed to me that I made the right choice.
And when did you become a mod? Was it like a Highlander "there can be only one" type of battle involved? If that was the case, who did you behead?
I'm asking for 00 because there are a bunch of mods he doesn't like. I personally think they are all great

CG once ranted to me about the list of all the mods she hates. I'd be willing to give up that information if it means I replace her on the list for next to be modded.

Nah, I don't think I'd want the headaches inherent in the moderator job. I'm looking to be promoted to VIP poster as soon as I figure out the qualifications.
