My roommate is a high school teacher and one of his kids said in class that he was going to "hit up a route." As if the connotation of that has changed in the 6 years since we graduated high school.So me being 30 and not knowing some made up acronym-of-the-month makes me old.

Yeah, but these days those kids don't know what connotation means, so you can't even explain it that way.

Back in the ole stomping grounds for Easter. Makes me wanna booze cruise and go to some dirt road parties and relive the high school days.

we normally weren't but we had today off.
Good house stuff: our slightly rushed and stressful wood flooring decision is a home run. Got to see them putting some in today.......it looks awesome. Totally love it.
Bad house stuff: the awesome looking and cheap (because it was discontinued) tile we picked came in and looked nothing like the sample. Now I'm fine with some color difference but this was bad. Like we ordered something along this color:
and it came in looking like this:
it was travertine which can vary - which we knew. We just expected variation from within the sample we saw which did have 3-4 varying colors of the top picture. In talking to our person, she thinks because the sample board is fairly old, that the stuff we got is a different dye lot. We hated to be "those" people but we're now going get them changed out. We found out before it started getting installed though so that is good. And think we found something close to the original color and not travertine. Cause apparently that can stain easily.
More good news - in WI, your septic tank has to have vents out in the yard that stick up. Plus a mound. The yard next to us has like 8 right across the center of the back yard. They weren't done by our builder but we were still concerned that our soil would need the same number and terrible location. So I asked our guy today about it and he looked at that yard and laughed. He's like nope, yours should all be off on that side. Said whoever did that one should have planned better.
I know all of you cared about this super much but I wanted to share anyway

When we lived out in the country a few years ago, we didn't have a mound, we were a slight hill. Looking at google maps right now and the place doesn't have the traditional mound.
