Decided to bake another loaf of the no knead bread. It says to let it proof for 8-24 hours. It's already more than doubled in size so I think I am going to move on to step 2 and degas it, coat it in flour and put it into a bread pan for the second rise.

That sucks.
What happens?
Can you house them until plants open back up, or do you try to sell them to people who buy 1/2 or whole pigs?

Lots of folks have been working on this for quite a while, and really, no one answer will fit all. You and I could both buy a half or whole hog, and that would take 1 or 2 out of that one group. First, be sure you have locker reservations, because some already are booked out for weeks and can't get to your hog before then.
Generally speaking, raising hogs means there is a schedule based on the animals themselves and various diets for specific needs based on age. It's impossible to stop feeding pigs so they don't grow, (edit for clarity -- you can't do this immediately, and you still need a different diet to start to maintain) so you need to look at other angles. Just for a glimpse into this world, here's a link to an article dated today with direct producer input. https://www.porkbusiness.com/article/hog-producers-look-plant-closures-we-are-very-nervous

My dad "totes" has these. He'd walk from our house to the train station, (5-6 blocks)take the train in, then another 5 blocks to his office. And, my current snow boots, although beat up a bit, are Totes brand.

Remember when I said I was kinda meh with my husband's quarantine goatee? I actually voiced my "Ehhhh..." feelings to him last night. So, after I went to bed, he shaved it off. So now....it's weird to look at him.

My freakin' female brain.

My situation was the opposite. I did the "quarantine clean shave" and my wife almost immediately voiced her meh opinion. I pushed my goatee back out as quickly as possible.

We are big enough, we can slow pigs growth down and make enough space to get through it. Lots of small time guys are struggling though. Buy meat while you can all.

Bird guy in preserve to Boxster: "Don't tell people where these baby owls are!"
Boxster "Dude, it's on Facebook." Didn't add the detail that FB brought me there.

Did double nature preserves walkabouts today and checked out both sets of baby owls. Saw a northern shoveler duckie, had to look up as I'd never seen one before. Pretty things even with a sorta big Daffy Duck beak.

Send me the details. I want to try it!

Never mind. Didn't see the link, I'll check it out!
FYI
He uses instant/rapid rise yeast but I just use regular active dry yeast. Just use a little bit more (kind of slightly rounded 1/4 teaspoon ) and dissolve it in the water first. Then add your flour and salt.
When I did it yesterday the dough was already more than doubled in 6 hours so I just moved onto the second step at that time. Next time I am going to try letting it rise in step 2 for longer to see if I get an even taller loaf.

Uncle Boxster has not made bread since the bread maker moved to Houston. And I mean the machine not the domestically challenged CWW#2. Think I could try that no knead bread in my mini dutch oven. Of course I have no yeast so never mind.

Is T.P. still usable as barter for yeast or have we gone full post apocalypse anarchy were 9mm or .223 ammo is the barter of choice? Or maybe I am reading too much into the gun nut protesters harassing the gov up here.

The loaf in your pic looked awesome, BTW. I had the butter and knife ready. :D
