Monday humor for all y'all!

Hmmm - apparently if you can't share it, you can't copy/embed it. :( I'll try to find another source, because #20 is definitely Lew & I. :D

Three cop cars have been front of my house since 730. Saw cops shinning lights into neighbor M's garage and house windows. Went out to chat with them and they asked if I've seen M lately. Nope, can't even remember last time I saw him. Odd situation. They said he was not in trouble or anything so guessing this is a welfare check on him. Now ambulance is here. Not good.

And, yeah, was wearing pajamas when I talked with cops, cause 2020. Put my jeans on now, this seems serious.

And neighbor is not dead. Saw him moving his legs in ambulance before they trucked him away. They weren't doing a siren run, just a slow roll out of there. Wonder WTF is going on since they were asking all of those questions and he was not answering the phone or door and he definitely did not call them. Other neighbors texted me, thought I was dead or dying or something but it's was the 30-something, not the old man.

Almost done with a project I've been working on for 3 days. Is it ironic that I am putting up a privacy fence during quarantine?

Nah, just ahead of the curve. (Too soon?)

I can see some weird trend starting when people start going back to work. Like posting a selfie the first time you take a work dump back from quarantine. #backandbowelthanever

I will just say I will not partake in that one.

One way an FFA chapter in Indiana is helping with food and milk for their larger community. Hmm. Guess I can't post a Facebook URL for a fundraiser here. They're hoping to raise $750 and $230 already is pledged. Here's the main description.

"The Western Boone FFA Chapter is buying milk and meat for three local food pantries and support farmers. The chapter has put $1000 into this campaign and is challenging the community to help feed people while moving milk and meat off the market. All donations will go directly to the FFA chapter’s campaign. Will you help them today?

Why I'm raising money
The pandemic has increased those living in food insecurity and disrupted ag markets, causing farm prices to crash.

How donations will be used
All funds will be used to purchase milk and meat at a discounted rate to be donated to The Caring Center, WEBO food pantry, and Boys & Girls Club of Lebanon. 500 gallons of milk will be delivered, starting in May, and continue as long as funds hold out. Meat will be delivered as soon as FFA officers purchase it. The goal is to support local food pantries for a few months."

Huh. I honestly did not know that totes is a legitimate word. I'm sharing today's word of the day page with quotes -- Boxster, do you have an alter ego? https://wordsmith.org/words/totes.html#comments

I learned totes as "totes jelly" from @cowgirl836 a long time ago, maybe in RRT#1.

Before that I knew totes as the bag and the company that makes umbrellas and these:

And actually still have a pair of these that I used to wear over dress shoes cause I parked a million blocks from work and would be trudging in snow and rain all of the time.

My dad "totes" has these. He'd walk from our house to the train station, (5-6 blocks)take the train in, then another 5 blocks to his office. And, my current snow boots, although beat up a bit, are Totes brand.

Remember when I said I was kinda meh with my husband's quarantine goatee? I actually voiced my "Ehhhh..." feelings to him last night. So, after I went to bed, he shaved it off. So now....it's weird to look at him.

My freakin' female brain.
