It will be interesting to watch Georgia and some other areas that have decided to reverse course on shelter-in-place, to see what the consequences will be. I have a sinking feeling it won't be good.......

Wife and I were talking about what the summer will look like. I may be the outlier but more and more I think we will at least be on a path to "normal" by Memorial Day.

This happened yesterday in Story County. Made me think of Boxster's neighbor.

A few years back I had a guy that worked for me remotely. One Sunday he sent me an email that they had rescheduled his Doctor's appointment to Monday so he was taking PTO. Tuesday he never logged in which was a little odd as he was very reliable, didn't respond to email either.
Wednesday he didn't log in either, didn't respond to email and didn't answer his phone. So I called the police and asked for a welfare check. He was found collapsed in his house. He was taken to the hospital and passed away a day later. According to his cousin cancer had completely taken over his body.. The reason he had the doctor appointment was a melanoma in his eye that the ophthalmologist had found.. I have no idea if he was aware of all the rest.

The freedom festival cancelled everything so I'm not so sure.

Jesus that's sad. I also had no idea you could get a melanoma on your eye

I think that's a pretty optimistic hope. According to what I see, we will be one of the last states to return to normal - June 8 was the date I saw.

Going to be living large in the food department tonight. Friends ordered a fancy meal for two from Harry & David. They substituted something else they did not want and H&D refunded them and told them to keep it. They really didn't want it so I now have a Pork Wellington meal (looks like enough to feed 3 or 4) and an entire cheesecake.
