Fun game. Brunson is a killer. Spurs are going to need to hit some more jumpers because the Knicks are really damn tough.

Spurs need to stop collapsing on the drive. Let Wemby handle the driver and stay on the shooters. Too many open looks on the kick out. If they make some layups, fine. But they’re hitting a high percentage of those open looks.

They put Wemby on Kat too much imo. He has to come out and guard Kat away from basket which is exactly what NY wants. I think I'd put Wemby on Hart a lot more until he proves he can consistently make shots. He's about only one on Knicks that hasn't been scorching hot this postseason.

On other end I've never seen this kind of defense from KAT. He's improved mightily.

Knicks seem like a much better "team" than they have been historically. Usually a couple stars but no cohesion. The college crew playing together and getting guys to fit in with them has been fun to watch. I don't think it is easy to replicate but seems to be paying off. Wish it was for a different owner but not mad about the players involved, they seem to be team first guys.

It’s becoming concerning for the Spurs that Wemby can’t back down anyone due to his lack of physical strength with respect to his height, and then he has to resort to shooting jump shots. They are not winning like that, unless other have great scoring games.

Teams have been really good at getting physical and pushing him off his spot when he's trying to roll to the basket too. I'm always baffled at the lack of lobs towards the rim for a guy that can get points with the flick of a hand.

Wemby is great, generational no doubt. But lost in the Wemby hype prior to Game 1 is his offensive game doesn’t have a lot of polish. He is great at finishing lobs and a good 3 point shooter. But he’s not a great offensive player. He’s not much of a shot creator, passer, or post player.

The Spurs’ guards need to be (and they have the potential to be) great to win. The Spurs shot 43% in G7 against the Thunder and 26% last night. There’s the difference in the games.

I completely agree. Not a fan of franchise and tend to not root for any NY team but I really like the individuals and players on this knicks team. Rooting more for 7 competitive gam than 1 particular team in this series.
