I’d be very surprised if he’s there more than 4 years. Yes, he will have more resources but honestly a lot of the issues here were the details and stupid mistakes. Some questionable play calling too that has nothing to do with number of stars
Anyone else watch Josh Pate's interview with Matt by chance? Matt definitely throws JP under the bus in my opinion. Basically said one of the things he had to have at another school for him to go there was a place that would basically be progressive and creative in NIL.
Oh... and that the place he was going to had to have integrity..... Matt also mentioned how much he admired JoePa.... more
Progressive in NIL and integrity are literally opposites. He found the right place.
Also, I think Campbell thought Candle might be chosen to replace him @ ISU. I do not think it is a coincidence that Candle was named HC @ UCONN the day after Rogers was named the ISU HC.
I don’t think Candle was even a thought for Jamie. He just is for some of our fans for some reason.
@qwerty did the heavy lifting in another thread. 28-34 in one score games. Gotta figure that out if you’re going to beat OSU regularly like their fans expect.
Have you guys seen Penn States schedule next year? What a total joke, guy could easily get to 10-2 and a playoff appearance in his sleep next year.
I've always thought that stat was a bit unfair to MC because we turned a lot of "blowout" type losses INTO one score games because we didn't give up and allow it to become a multiple score loss. I would bet a decent % of those one score game losses fit that category.

I will add the dance Kelly did at LSU with the recruit on the turntable. If LSU still uses that, they should speed it up like the devil wheel in Germany.

I like CMC. I appreciate the fact he actually cares about his players, as players and as young men. That's worth a lot to me. It wont mean jack to PSU people.
PSU is a great fit for CMC in terms of location, tradition, resources, ability to compete at the highest level, and general football enthusiasm... I do not think it will be a good fit in terms of the fans expectations and the administration. PSU is a results only type place.
The first time they lose a close game and there is bad clock management or a special teams gaffe... he is gonna get crushed by their fanbase and media.
Crystal ball... CMC gets fired from PSU in 2028, then goes back to Mt Union with his eleventy jillion dollars, coaches there til he is 80 and lives happily ever after.
