OK, here's what I did.
I switched internet from CL to Mediacom last year. I had a line trenched for free from the box in the back easement to the house. Then I told them to hook that up to my main coax distribution box. Internet worked great from their tests.
As soon as they left, I removed the dish and put up a Yagi antenna. I hooked that up to the old directv coax. I then swapped the lines at the distribution box and have great antenna TV throughout the house.
Then I drilled a small hole thru my rim joist and ran a coax line to the center of my basement, attached my modem and router, and hooked it up to that Mediacom buried line.
Perfect setup for me.
