I only watch the national teams games like the Copa, World Cup. Love the passion. Besides this, can't get into regular soccer.

I saw 110 minutes of no score, guy scores which takes another 90 seconds of celebration, yellow card - 2 minutes wasted (yeah, time added but is almost never linear). Fouls every 30 seconds which maddening interrupts the flow.

Seems mostly like his choice right? It'll be tough to replace him, and the expectations are a trophy or bust in '26.
Yeah…not sure. Thought it interesting that they made the final of one of the toughest tournaments in the world, lost a tight match to an excellent team, the WC is in the two years, he’s stepping down and English fans seem to be totally fine with it.

All those things together are interesting to me.

I think they're mostly happy with his performance over the years, but don't think he can take them to the next level. He's definitely left it better than he found it though.

The cons are there. His managerial record isn't great, he hasn't stayed anywhere for longer than a couple years, and last year with Strasburg was a let-down.

Despite those concerns, I'd be ok with this hire. Strasburg had a very young roster. His only coaching job in the US was with NYCFC and he was decent. He was obviously a hell of a player, and I'd love to see some of his aggression as a player rub off on our roster.

I'm a Gunner fan so I'd love to see him get hired and succeed, but I'm interested in others' thoughts.

If this is the pool we’re swimming in then Vieira is just as good as the next one.

Ugh, feels like a recycled coach in the NFL. Take your pick on whoever you want to use as an example. Never really a winner. They talk about him improving NYCFC but then NYCFC got even better after he was gone.

I officially have no expectations for US soccer.

Here's a ringing endorsement from the Forbes article, "Vieira hasn’t been bad anywhere."
Sorry, I guess that leaves me wanting a bit more

Probably can’t ask for much better than this given that Klopp turned it down. Definitely a hire that shows some ambition

Men in Blazers love it and they are kind of my go to.

I am a big fan of this hire - Took Tottenham to a champions league final, big name international coach, and plays a fun tactic to watch. Really, just glad we didn't go with a MLS coach and it can't get worse than GB

Yea I can't say I know much about him as I've been out of the loop on EPL, but the overall Twitter reaction seems very positive from USMNT people/fans.

His play style is going to be fun to watch and good for TV. That being said, it could also completely blow up in our face. Either way it will be exciting, and that's more than we've been able to say under Gregg.
