***Official USMNT Thread***

I love Poch, but I'm unsure if this is a good thing or not. If he's committed and supported it could be a great fit, but I anticipate working with the US soccer org will be a challenge for him.

I think his style will mesh well with our talent. Hopefully, he's given reins to construct the roster like he sees fit.

I do hope it's not a "well, I'll do this until something better comes along and then I'll drop them like a 2 AM bar pick-up" kinda move.

Poch is a big name, that's for sure. I'm not sure if it's a great hire, but obviously he has incredible experience and has done pretty well at the highest levels of club soccer elsewhere. Who knows? We need someone to shake things up and make the current selections compete for their spots. There has gotten to be much complacency lately in the "A" group and I hope he'll think outside the box calling up some guys who haven't seen much time yet. Two years to go to the biggest summer for US soccer in decades.

I'm not sure that's a bad thing, the management at US soccer could use to have at least one person not constantly tell them what they want to hear.

It's not "Here we go!" from Fabrizio yet, but it's close. Things really quieted down the last couple weeks after the initial rumors leaked, but it does look like Poch' is actually going to happen for the USMNT. I, for one, will welcome our new USMNT overlord.
