My guess is because he’s selfish, emotionally immature, makes poor decisions, has regressed, and fouls non stop.

Actually Lard has only fouled out 4 games out of 20. He has 3 or less fouls in 12 of those 20. So at least part of your statement is untrue...not sure about the rest.

who the **** does that. nerds thats who

Post first and read later has always been my policy

Cat is going full Cat. There can be a time when a job isn't a good fit for the employee and employer.

This could be one of those times. A 4 year coach with a losing Big 12 regular season record opens the door to those conversations. A quick trip around CF shows that.

I guess I didn't realize they had good players, were ranked #8, had won a good number of games against other good teams and were playing for the Big 12 Title. Given all that I guess I should not have believed we should win by 22.

Dumb me......

Who said anything about those things not being true or someone being dumb? Geez, overreact much? Was just a statement, totally in response to others on another thread that claimed fans "were blind" if we didn't agree that ISU had the 'most talent'. Easy to think early tho as we seemed to be rolling when we were at the top of the conference 3-4 weeks ago, and seemed to have such versatile scoring.

On a side note, none of us could possibly know how hard this team 'may' have been to coach for Prohm and to gel their talents/personalities together, etc. Especially with the early suspensions/injuries and Lard... a guy you never knew what you were going to get or if he would play.

Also, great energy from the crowd today!! Thanks for not giving up on these guys.

+ CBeard can flat out coach. Happy to see him with success. BTW - IF KSt wins tonight, I will not smack talk BWebber ever again; he can and does win.
+ I'm glad we were competitive and looked like we have a pulse; let's build on that and have a decent post-season.
+ 9-9 is what I was hoping in late Dec, after giving up 98 to Iowa. By the first week of Jan, I was really believing we'd finish much better. Disappointing we had many opportunities to be better and couldn't close out.
+ We need to shoot well to win; playing small ball and get beat on rebounds consistently. If we can hit > 42% treys + >45% FG and 75% FT, we can play with a lot of tough teams and win.

+ I would not be surprised to see at least (2) and up to (4) players not return next year; and there's not any I see going pro.

THT and Haliburton are like freshman Brackins...oozing talent but play like you'd expect freshman to play. They're playing out of necessity instead of playing when they're ready.

Lard needs to be sent down the road. If he was as talented as Culver you deal with his ****. He's not that talented and isn't learning. Cut your losses.
I don't think you send Cam packing, I think you stop going out of your way to help him - I think CSP has done all he can. Now it is up to Cam either he stays out of trouble and stays eligible or he doesn't and then you move on.

Bye Tyrese! Thanks for playing!

Bye THT! Thanks for being a Cyclone for all of one season (and this might happen anyway)

Bye incoming recruiting class! Best of luck to wherever you go after you get out of your LOI.

Look...I grew up going to games in Hilton Coliseum. I understand the disappointment. I get the frustration. I'm not sure I've ever seen another kind of tailspin like the one we are currently in.

But...YOU DO NOT IMPROVE A PROGRAM BY FIRING A COACH. Plain and simple. If this were to happen, whoever comes in would be our 7th head coach in 25 seasons. I wrote in the West Virginia post game thread that so far, not including CSP, that since Johnny Orr retired, our head coaches average length of time at Iowa State is 4.2 seasons. Do you honestly think that a Power 5 program can have that kind of turnover at the head of a program and still compete for championships against programs like Kansas, etc.?

Can you guys please think about stuff like this before you demand the head of someone who has averaged 20 wins/season? Please?

If you check out my posts I haven't called for his head and I typically don't do that at all.

We aren’t desperate. We’re locked in for the big 12 seeding and does it really matter if we are a 5,6,or 7 in the NCAA? It’s a total crapshoot how the bracket will break for those seeds.
I strongly disagree. One last chance at home against a top 10 team and chance to right the ship. We should have seen a TOE super bowl performance type effort today.

Testifying
ISU grad living down here in SEC country (Alabama). Some talk down here of Prohm being the favorite to replace LSU's head coach who is currently suspended for possible recruiting violations (on tape recording discussing payments). He did coach as an assistant in Louisiana for 10 years at Centenary, Southeastern and Tulane. LSU's message boards seem to favor him as well.
Any talk up there?
Cam transfers to LSU and Prohm then gets hired.
LOL.

We can’t be lucky enough to have 2 different schools hire away coaches of ours to avoid an ugly firing/cratering/buyout in less than a decade, can we?
Are you comparing Prohm to McDermott?

McDermott's record during his four seasons: 59-69/18-46
Record during 4th season: 15-17/4-12
Prohm's record during his four seasons: 80-42/35-37
Record during 4th season:20-11/9-9

Aside from letting his first two teams essentially coach themselves what evidence is there that Prohm can actually build and lead a winning basketball team in the Big 12? 9-9 does not count as a winning team. Especially when the end of the season is a train wreck.

Yeah, but you weren’t on the fire the coach train before today?

Get out of here with that nonsense

Hey. Changing coaches every 4 years is a great way to build and sustain a winning program in the Big 12, dontcha know?
I read your comments after the wVU game. Without going back and reading again, your whole basis is that we don't want to start over so might as well stick with what we have. I guess I am asking you what you want this program to be? As long as this team makes the tournament you are happy? Do you want a big 12 champ team? Final four? What if Prohm can't get to that level. Are you fine keeping him around to be average rather than looking for someone, like a Beard, who can take your program up a notch?

No. I was comparing how their departures would be similar if he got plucked by LSU.

Whoa!.....always transfer outs. So many players ahead of them. But 4???
You have sources or is this just speculation? Thought they played as a team today.
