If you listen to CW's podcasts earlier this year, he talked about how we were trying to work the system to our advantage with the non-con. So we absolutely could change it a bit. It's not about top end value, it's about the bottom teams and replacing them with teams not so horrible.

Scheduling the way we did was good for this team overall, but let's not act like we couldn't have changed it.

I heard it that CW was explaining how it was being alleged that B12 was gaming the system, I did not hear Chris saying that we were trying to work the NET.

I think it’s gotta be the big-wigs pushing the non-con stuff. They want teams incentivized to play games worth televising. That’s the only reason I can think of that games that happen 3 months ago matter more than 3 days ago.

I understand NoCon being a reason for teams that are bubbles or placing higher seeds but if you finish in the top 6-7 nationally, beat the #1 team twice, win the conf tourny and finish 2nd in the toughest conf, maybe you've already proved NonCon didn't really matter?

I am coming down a bit but I went into this saying I am good with anything other than having to play in the east mainly due to unconn gets 4 home games. And not to play drake 2nd round due to them playing like a pissed off lil brother and the local media jizzing all over this.

I think its worse than that; its just the 'excuse' to fit keeping ISU out of the 1 line (and a better 2 seed).

Next time it may be the other way around to screw some other non-blue blood out of a 1 seed.

I think you’ve got it backwards.

It’s an excuse for keeping UNC *in* the #1 spot.
