I am expecting to hear the Iowa fans making comment that they are a better conference because they have more teams going to the tournament then any other conference. Are they better or is it just the two Michigan teams?

They obviously don't understand percentages....

That's a pet peeve of mine when the media talks about bids per league. When some leagues are 14 or 16 teams and one league is 10 teams, it is stupid to put up the total teams per conference without the percentages in there.

It is my understanding that KU has some serious NCAA violation issues in their basketball program under investigation currently having to do with money paid to players. It received lots of media coverage this past fall. It is interesting that KU was placed in such a bracket that they will have the opportunity to play North Carolina in the Sprint Center since the sweet 16 & elite 8 will both occur there. Point #1-Does Self have that much influence over the NCAA or is it with the selection committee? Point #2-What's Roy's take on all this? Point #3-

Sure, no problem.

Stats dont lie but they dont tell the whole truth, either. Michigan State's Quadrant 1 win count is bloated by road wins at NET teams #43 Iowa, #48 Nebraska, #50 Penn State and #55 Ohio State.

Carolina has better wins win victories over #2 Gonzaga, #3 Duke twice, #11 Virginia Tech and #13 Wofford. Michigan State with 3 wins over #9 Michigan, #12 Purdue and #17 Wisconsin twice.

Carolina's worst loss was to #38 Texas. Michigan State got swept by #54 Indiana and lost to #109 Illinois.

That sums up why I feel that Carolina's resume is far more worthy of a #1 seed than Michigan State. I do feel MSU got shafted by being put in Duke's bracket simply because it is closer to home. They should be swapped with Michigan.

You said they had a "WAY BETTER" resume than MSU. The points you are making are solid points, and could explain why they were ranked above them by a couple spots, but it still doesnt explain how their resume was "WAY BETTER" than a team who won both regular season and tournament championships in the the #1 ranked league in the country.

ACC is full of bottom feeders, 5 of them in fact are ranked below the worst team in the Big 10, Northwestern. UNC feasted off pathetic teams, 10 of their 16 ACC wins were against these teams that didnt even make the tourney.

I have no issue if you break it down with UNC over MSU, but to say they have a "WAY BETTER" resume than MSU, who by the way lost their 2nd leading scorer, is completely absurd.

Izzo taking shots. He has a point in that MSU probably should have been a #1 seed over UNC (UNC got it because they beat Duke twice I'm sure), let alone be stuck in Duke's bracket. However, he might want to think back 20 years ago when ISU got the same treatment to his Spartans.

Beyond that he is wrong in whining about how the Big 10 is the toughest conference and they played 20 games. They definitely have some nice top tier teams but they have so much crap and mediocrity to water it down it doesn't even matter.

I hate Izzo and will be happy to cheer against his team this weekend, but what conference is better than the Big 10 this year? ACC? They have 5 teams ranked below the Big 10's worst team.

Minor thing, but I’d rather we played the game before Houston/...whoever than the game after.

That sounds to me like it pretty much evens out then, better at the top, alot worse at the bottom, a bunch of average teams in the middle.

And the Big Ten has good but not great teams at the top, really bad but not horrible teams at the bottom and a bunch of average teams in the middle.

A lot better at the top. Not just better. I'll take the conference with three 1 seeds any day

It comes down to what criteria you deem to be the best in my opinion. You could make cases for the Big 10, ACC, and Big 12.

Let's be honest, The Pac 12 is where it's at...best conference by far.......
