***Official Olympics Discussion***

Pretty cool moment with James and Oscar (South African) runner switching names. Great accomplishment by Pistorius just making the semi's.

Also when is Dan Patrick on? I seen Michelle Beadle on mornings on NBC sports channel, Costas has prime time so when does DP on? I'm actually glad I'm missing him because the guy has become a total tool.

I'm not sure during the week, but weekends he's been doing the morning/early afternoon shift before Al Michaels.

Simply unreal. Bolt is going up against some of the fastest in the world leaves them in the dust.

I'm not saying Bolt isn't clean (he likely is), but all the past dopers have almost ruined performances like this for me. There's always that voice in the back of my head saying he found a way to beat the test.

You don't drape your country's FLAG over yourself

You NEVER EVER let it touch the ground.

Those idiots in the crowd throwing a country's flag onto the track after a race, and it's lands on the ground---is fricking blasphemous

Does any athlete have a clue about respecting and not descecrating the flag--especially an American flag?

A bunch of clueless fools

 Please. These athletes have put countless hours of their lives into training just to perform for their country and what that flag stands for. I think draping themselves with it is well deserved.

It must have been somebody from the NY Times that threw the flag on the ground.

You want to see national disrespect, go to Norman, OK. The clip doesn't do it justice but at the end they all yell Sooners instead of Brave. I witnessed it live when ISU played OU in wbb for Big 12 tourney title in OKC. Ever since I heard that I lost all respect for anything OU. Watch the OU fans that come to JTS will do it.

That's etiquette for the American Flag (which, by the way, Americans drape themselves in as well). The rest of the world, including Jamaicans, are free to do whatever they want with their own flags.

Curse you London and your terrible weather

I dont know why alot of the news is reporting there has been bad weather...Me and my family have been at the olympics since thursday and the only bad weather we have seen is it rained for about 45 mins yesterday, Besides that the weather has been awesome. Hopefully it holds off because we have all outdoor tickets from here...Athletics today, Beach volleyball semi's tuesday, and canoe sprints and beach volleyball finals wednesday.
