*OFFICIAL* MBB POST GAME: ISU @ Nebraska

I think it is a huge positive sign that we won, on the road, and Craig only scored 6 points. He still pulled down double digit boards. We needed Craig to go off last year just to have a chance to be in the game. Hopefully, that means we have another gear when he is scoring well.

He had some nice assists also and him being held, I mean guarded by two player all night opened other things up, the shots just didnt fall for them. He is being a good teammate all most too much. One of these nights he is really going to go off and score a bunch.

Just listened to the post game interview with CB...very impressed with his eloquence and attitude. I wish those of you that keep banging on this kid would stop it...sounds like a great ambassador for ISU BB (not to mention a great player).

Reminded me of how embarassing it was to hear Lafester interviewed back in the day...that guy could not speak coherently at all.

Agree, he is a well spoken kid. I think off the record he would tell you he's not playing to his potential this year and he knows it.

Part of it is the scoring is being spread around more (which is good) but I'm not seeing him dominate and allow other guys to score easy buckets, other guys are just playing tough and getting good shots.

False and False.

If anyone has an agenda, it is you my friend.

Yup, support the coach and team. I'll support Mac until he shows me he can't win with talent on the floor. To me this year is his litmus test. I won't be one of those fools who likes to claim "I knew 2 years ago he was the wrong choice". This is the first year one can make a valid judgment on him. We'll see what that is in April.

Are you even reading my posts?

Yes, and if pretty much anybody else posts nearly exactly what you did it's taken differently. But since it was you and we all know you hate Mac and want him fired...well...our reaction speaks for itself.

Maybe you should go back and read your own posts. (this year and last) For negativity you stand out more than most. Maybe they dont look negative to you but I that would put you in the minority.

We're anticipating around a 9:45 start time for this evening's installment of Cyclone Soundoff on 1460 KXNO presented by Ridgemont Bar in Windsor Heights.

I look forward to your calls for reaction on tonight's big Cyclone victory over Nebraska.

The call in number - 515-284-5966 or 866-333-5966.

If you call in, send me a PM and I'll dish out some free credits.

False...I want ISU to be a team that is relevant and is consistently in contention to make the NCAA tournament.

.

Kids in bed, wife is content, too bad I'm on my 4th vodka/tonic or I'd make the min trip down there.

ok, more thoughts on the game, since this thread has devolved.

Scotty looked good in the second half once he got in the flow. He provided a lot more movement on the offense opening things up more.

Overall I thought the offense looked a lot better than 56 points.

Everything has slowed down for Dendy now, he looks really comfortable out there and looks like a Big 12 post player, plus a ton of energy. He deserves to get 25 minutes and play at the end of the game. Now he just needs to knock down his freaking free throws.

The post defense was excellent all game, actually it was just a very solid defensive effort. There were a couple of glaring lapses, but overall the best defense of the year.

The overall effort level wasn't as good as Texas (to be expected) but it was much better than the non-conf games.

I also thought I'd point out a key play: We ran an inbounds play down 4 (45-41) to get Scotty a look, and it worked as designed and he nailed it. That's good coaching!
