Official Fired Coach Recruit Poaching Thread

Campos is suddenly going to have a few more serious suitors if Pinkel is canned. Not sure if Pinkel getting fired is good or bad. Eh, probably good. I don't believe in the friend zone anyways.

Do we honestly have a chance with Campos? He's obviously committed to Mizzou but people keep bringing his name up. Just curious?

Rumor has it he was an official visitor this weekend. Is that "honestly" enough?

That and he attended an ISU camp over a Mizzou camp being held that same weekend (after he had committed to Mizzou) and Rhoads has been actively recruiting Campos himself over the fall.

Pinkel knocked up a twenty something reporter who may be affiliated with the university or something and is expected to resign on Monday.

The boat is almost full so I hope they either poop or get off the pot. That is assuming nobody poaches any of our commits.

We might want to be more concerned about keeping our own coach at this point rather than worry about poaching players. We Might get our coach poached...

Auburn contractually is obligated to pay the coach $208,333 per month through the end of 2015. Any money he earns outside those payments, which includes work as an analyst or author, will be subtracted from the amount Auburn owes him. The contract requires Chizik "to use reasonable efforts to obtain other employment and/or income from third parties."

This is nauseating.

how many more scholarships do we even have open?

Considering we are at 85 right now, and we graduate 22 players from what I can count from the official roster. Add 1 for the Arizona LB leaving. I'm going to say currently 23. I'm not sure how many we can bank backwards, but I know that the new Oline commit is going to be here January. Not sure about any JUCOs either. That is obviously before any attrition, which I expect there will be one or two.
