I was thinking more along the lines of a tweaked hamstring, or just saying undisclosed injury. I think in the NHL they can just describe it as an upper or lower body injury.

Yeah, that's why I say it sounds filthy, that's some FIFA stuff right there where you abuse the AI and create a ridiculous team. Obviously it doesn't just automatically mean they'll be great together.
