some of the guys people are crapping on did come through todayFor all of the (deserved) crap Dansby has gotten for clutch hitting, he’s come through twice today.
And the biggest critics are silent.some of the guys people are crapping on did come through today
he is the same guy who complains about how bad players are when things don't go the way you wantView attachment 154347
Ben Brown last 4 outings...
13 innings, 13 hits, 5 ER, 3 BB, 13 K.
Far from bum status.
but didn't they lose
Ironically I was actually for brewers today. I think it's more likely we finish behind Reds than in front of Brewers at this point. Maybe broke up their momentum before a 5 game set on otherside. Win/winHopefully this kickstarts a reversion to the mean for the Brewers![]()
Perhaps the Cubs are showing some offensive life and situational hitting? PCA has warmed up, Dansby’s been ok, but we need Tucker to show what he’s capable of. Still have no idea why you pull Caissie up just to sit. The pitching has been good enough, so I’m hoping we’ll catch fire soon (like this upcoming series).
Tucker is mailing it in at this point. I don't want him back, not for the stoopid money someone will pay him--and regret deeply a few years down the road. Not happy about giving away Cam Smith for this, but I do think it was a worthwhile gamble, not going to crap on Jed for this one. No one figured Tucker would play this poorly for such an extended period of time. Definitely NOT a superstar worth half a billion dollars.
We would probably sign him for 350m if he wants to stayTucker's funk could last the rest of the year and he's still getting $350M. He's still easily going to get over 5 WAR for the year.
He's nowhere near pillow contract territory.
Swanson did a great job today. Good situational hitting. I hope he keeps this up.And the biggest critics are silent.
