He should get $32 million/year? His WAR was 3.9 (first year of his current contract) and 2 this year so average around 3, not 4.
Are we on the lookout for the Owen Caissie Greyhound to Des Moines yet? Why would they bring him up to sit on the bench? Beyond dumb.
They just brought him up so he could play in front of his own country. They have no intentions of playing him regularly.

And immediately give up the lead. A tale of two teams going different directions (Brewers and Cubs).
A 2-1 lead isn't going to cut it. Brown has been pretty good since the break, minus his start against KC. This is on the offense.
I said it earlier and know Counsel isn’t the one striking out or throwing hangers out there but every button he seems to push is the wrong one…
Here is Tucker’s stat line since July 1:
- OPS: .571
- Batting Average: .190
- On-Base Percentage (OBP): .331
- Slugging (SLG): .240
- This covers 35 games, 121 at-bats, 23 hits, 1 home run, 10 RBI, 25 walks, and 4 stolen bases
Those last two ABs sum up the Cubs offense perfectly. Guy on 3rd, 1 out and Ian Happ strikes out without ever swinging the bat (how does that happen?) and then Dansby hits a lazy fly instead of making the guy who has throw 6 straight balls throw a strike…
We will will probably end up winning 2 out of 3 versus this god awful Pirates team (also didn't face Skenes) but it has been a battle all series. Wouldn't say we are "turning it around" by any means.
For all of the (deserved) crap Dansby has gotten for clutch hitting, he’s come through twice today.
