My main question would be - can he and Kunc play at the same time?I would say Vander Plas comparison would be Jiri Hubalek. Not a typical post but can post up players. Shoots the three and is a good passer.

I would think it’s Vander Plas or Basile, not both, but that’s just a guess. I was supposed, based on the numbers, to see BVP that much higher than Basile.Let’s get Vander Plas, Basile, and someone who can shoot 3s and we’re set.
Yes, a great thing actually. His turnover % is lower than nearly everyone on the team. Which is very good considering he had more usage than all but IB.Is “8th lowest on the team last year” supposed to be a good thing? We only played 7 guys consistently last year lol
At first I ranked Basile ahead of Vander Plas, mainly because of his added size and rebounding ability, but after seeing some more highlights, I'm intrigued by Vander Plas' versatility and 3 point shooting.Let’s get Vander Plas, Basile, and someone who can shoot 3s and we’re set.
So if Jones is better 'off the ball', does that hinder our particular offense? Or will having Tyrese Hunter as your good point man make it a good fit? Guess I don't know what Stanford has as it's point guard. And maybe the Stanford thing (like Davidson) has alot more to do with the type of college it is. After all, we're much closer location to his home. But guessing the Stanford prestige has a little something to do with it.Noah Carter at #23 was surprising.
Liked this about Michael Jones, although I think he is Stanford bound.
“Very good shooter that can get it off quick and get his feet set on the move in every way imaginable. A smart cutter and has developed an ability to score off the bounce with runners and floaters. Surprisingly versatile defender with a 7-plus-foot wingspan that can allow him to hang with superior athletes. Not very dynamic in terms of playmaking ability — so [he’s] a guy who would thrive in a system that uses him in a lot of off-the-ball actions and less on the ball.”
Being better off the ball doesn't hinder our offense at all. We need both.So if Jones is better 'off the ball', does that hinder our particular offense? BTW Ben Vaner Plas has some game. Can shoot the three, His passing is really good and will be a really good player to have at that high post. Here are some highlights of him.
Basile shot 14% from 3 point range one year, 48% the next year, and 28% the following year. That's crazy.
I see what you’re saying now, I had it backwards. I see that 3 turnovers a game and 7 in a couple games, and that raised some flags for meYes, a great thing actually. His turnover % is lower than nearly everyone on the team. Which is very good considering he had more usage than all but IB.

If I had to guess I’d think that’s exactly the plan right nowBVP does seem to have the higher floor due to playing in the MAC versus Horizon and being a 4 year consistent shooter. Not sure how BVP could play the 5 in the Big 12 and I don't think he's a good enough athlete to play the 3. However, I think there is a lot of similarities in game between BVP and Creighton's Ryan Hawkins. I'd sign up for a clone of Ryan Hawkins.
Basile has the higher ceiling and lower floor. Better rebounder, defender and looks longer. If Basile can hit 3's > 33.0% (he is about 33% over the past 2 years). That makes him immediately the bigger get IMO. But I am warming to both.
Manny Bates/Hason Ward type commitment really helps play defense against the David McCormick and Eddie Lamkin's of the conference. If wonder if TJ is playing for a commitment from one of BVP or Basile and Bates or Ward.
If we'd get a combination of any of those guys, I'd be ecstatic. If I'd have to choose a combo it'd be in this order though:If I had to guess I’d think that’s exactly the plan right now
Given the programs after BVP and Basile, TJ will have done a hell of a job landing either. If we'd get a combination of any of those guys, I'd be ecstatic. If I'd have to choose a combo it'd be in this order though:
1. BVP and Bates
2. Basile and Bates
3. Basile and BVP
4. BVP and Ward
5. Basile and Ward
6. Bates and Ward
