After watching BVP video he looks like a great option due to his passing skills. I would be fine with either one and same goes for Ward and Bates.

You always wondering if Ward and BVP are our top guys since they are visiting early or it’s like that’s what worked out for us and them. If they visit and we like what we see and offer them, do we just move on from the other guys we are interested in at those positions?

I think we only know 10 percent of how recruiting works (if that). It’s fun and fascinating to think about during the off-season

10 percent sounds about right.

Half the cyclone fans have AJ already here and the other half say no way . Should be interesting to see what he ends up doing
I have no inside information, but I would suspect we’d at least see our name on more of these scoring guards that list 10-15 schools if the staff wasn’t banking on AJ.

Even if they are thinking AJ is likely, I’m a little surprised we aren’t in on more guards, given our offense needed another guy even with IB.

I’m sure they’re confident in Hunter improving, and maybe think Gabe and Williams will be enough as the 3rd?

True, I’m not sure when all this NBA stuff gets sorted out with camps and evaluations, but yiu can’t wait till draft day to get things sorted out.

I do think it is interesting that we haven’t focused on the guard or scoring wise gbtet in our transfer recruiting.

Maybe we have multiple guys lined up? I don’t know, but we’ve barely kicked the tires on guards

I'm still holding hope for Jones out of Davidson. Probably foolish, I know.

I'm with you. He's so good at precisely a thing ISU needed last year. Plus I've seen more about his ability defensively being solid as of late. Not sure how hard ISU is recruiting but also think he would be an awesome add.

Well since we haven't heard 'boo' other than we definitely made contact (and more than just an initial one I'm thinking), the fact that he isn't scheduled for a visit yet and he already visited Stanford a while back, it may not be in the cards.

You have to enter the portal by May 1st to be eligible to play without sitting.

You do really? So I guess that would be telling if true.

From the NCAA Eligibility Center:

Additionally, a student-athlete must provide their current school with a written request to enter the NCAA Transfer by May 1 if they participate in a fall or winter sport, or July 1 if they participate in a spring sport to use the one-time exception. Other rules (e.g., disciplinary suspension at the previous school, transferable credits accepted by your new school, sport specific midyear transfer rules) may also factor into the campus compliance administrator’s certification of transfer eligibility.
