This morning Jeriann said there could be snow next Friday and went on to say it could be something like it could be an snow event that is memorable.

What are the thoughts on this weather gurus.

Wunderground has partly cloudy, high of 47, and 0% chance of precipitation on Nov 13th.

However, on Saturday the 14th, they have 100% chance of moisture when the Pokes whiz it down their legs.

Re: November 13 Wether Thread

Here's the scientific forecaster discussion on this. I don't think they've updated the forecast to include this since it's so far out yet.

Focus in the long range then shifts to the end of the period into
the middle of next week...as the GFS and ec both dig a large upper
level trough into the intermountain west and lift it through the
region by middle/late week. This system to likely to bring the next
chance for widespread precipitation and fairly cool air on the
backside for the end of next week. Will have to continue to monitor
as have some pretty strong winds pushing in on the backside as well.

Northern Iowa does have snow (light) on the 13th in the forecast.

Too far out for really super accurate forecasting however but since I am driving from Mpls to Sioux Falls on the 13th I anticipate the Angry Boxster Hating Weather Gods to bring all sort of weather wrath upon the upper midwest.

I ate the last basketball tickets I had because of snow and ice on I-35.

This far out she is dumb talking about it. Hardly even a reason to look that far out.

Maybe I heard it wrong but I thought the "memorable" thing was when she mentioned that is the same weekend Iowa is doing the outdoor wrestling meet at Kinnick which a possibility for some snow could make it interesting. Most mornings between still trying to wake up while helping to get our 18 month old ready I find myself having to hit the DVR button and go back whenever I hear something on the news in the backgound

Not sure who thought an outdoor wrestling meet on Nov 1th in Iowa would be a good idea.

So it looks like I won't have to stock up on a month's worth of milk and Lucky Charms next week?
