No Britney Griner on US Olympic team

Maybe he wants to get paid like Dwayne Wade did? I think he is in love with himself, and his dreads.
I didn't read the original link, but I have read another story that stated between "illness in her family" and her school schedule in the summer she would not be able to participate in the Olympics. She expressed interest in future Olympic games.
I don't care so much about the "shamefulness" of it, the complete lack of funny in this thread is the real tragedy in all this.
I don't have any love for Griner, but don't try to throw someone down and fail if you don't want to get popped for it.
Agree totally, Barncastle got what she deserved and I've occasionally wondered if the coaching staff had encouraged it. I don't blame Griner one bit for throwing the punch no matter how "wrong" it may have been.
Barncastle got exactly what she deserved, IMO. Especially considering that garbage had been going on all game. Playing like that is eventually going to get someone hurt, and I'm much more satisfied to see the injury be a broken nose for Barncastle than something worse for Griner in that situation.
People can feel free to believe whatever they want about her gender (however ignorant their opinion may be), but Griner is no thug, and certainly not based on that incident.
She threw the punch because she was called the N word. They kept it quiet to protect Texas Tech.
As a parent of a future cyclone its probably best I stay off the board. The majority of people that we've met during our time getting to know cyclone fans are nothing like some of the nasty and mean spirited comments that jive read today. While people can only speculate regarding her gender, things like calling the kid a "creature, predator, a man" and other hurtful things are uncalled for. You don't have to like her, but she is a human being either male or female. If it turns out she isn't female then shame on her, and it should be dealt with, but of she's female there are tons of extremely hurtful things being said on here that would completely make me ill if it were my kid being spoken of. I will remain board free because ultimately my daughter loves ISU the coaches and the players, and I never want my comments to hurt her in anyway.
Mr. Bingley, to be honest: this is a message board and sadly, this happens a lot. not just at ISU board. If you go to ESPN's comment section, you'll see similar tone.
I believe, if Britney Griner plays for ISU, there will be no hurtful comments aimed at her.
