NFC Championship Game (Player Props)

Favre DID blow it. His team was set up for the win, even after all the TO's, and he choked.

Now please go away Favre.

Yeah... Well if the Vikings didn't fumble 2 times in the red zone, and put just one of those in for a td... We wouldn't have overtime.

Reminds me of the ISU vs Nebraska game. Zac Lee or whoever their QB is, didn't really lose that game with the pic towards the end. The 2 fumbles going into the endzone did.

That said, I'm glad to see the Saints in the Super Bowl. Really good for the city's morale

I'm so sick of hearing about that reason about New Orleans. The only good thing about the win is at least that stupid excuse can't be used in the future.

Man, you need to come check New Orleans out. There are so many things wrong with this place, Katrina or no Katrina, and this city NEEDS this. This city is still in a rough spot, still rebuilding, and the people of New Orleans deserve this.

I never thought I could see the point of rebuilding New Orleans, until fate brought me here. Now, I can't imagine this place not being rebuilt.

There are many cities that need assistance. I am PRAYING for the Saints to win....a trophy will magically make everything ok, I guess?

That is a sad bitter statement....I feel sorry for you.

Go for it. You're damn right I'm bitter. I Haluska'd his *** his first game back - preseason down here against the Texans - sporting my white #4 jersey, modified to say "JUDAS". It was and is a slap in the face to all the Packer fans who supported him for nearly two decades, and it's extremely gratifying to know all the turncoat Packer "fans" who put on purple jerseys this year got to have their hearts broken one more time.

I also feel vindicated - I said when he first went to MN that "he'll win you some games you shouldn't, but he'll also lose you one or two as well - and usually one of those are in the playoffs." It's nice being right, and even nicer to have it happen to someone else for once.

Finally - I'm happy for New Orleans. There are a lot of people in this city to this day who lost everything in Katrina, only to have Rita and Ike follow them along - like a bad horror movie where the killer just won't die. I went to N.O. for Mardi Gras the year after Katrina (I was helping rebuild their economy ) and saw first-hand how bad it still was. I may have to go again...if they win in Miami it's going to be INSANE.

Who dat? Who dat? Who dat say dey goin beat dem Saints? Who dat?

Who Dat (no negativity thread)

Who dat said we gonna beat the saints. I am personally glad the saints won. I can't stand Brett Favre of the Vikings.

Dude, that city was a ******* hellhole that smelled like ****, **** and puke BEFORE Katrina.

Corruption, cronyism and graft is what that city was founded on. It sucks for a reason. The people there tolerate crappy government.

Everyone wants to jump on only Favre, ignoring the other huge fumbles that took place before his misguided pass when the Vikes were driving and looking to take a TD lead.

Not that I'm surprised.

Pretty good game, I didn't get to see all of it - but the finish was spectacular and much needed for an otherwise lackluster playoffs.

Re: Who Dat (no negativity thread)

Did you mean to contradict yourself with your thread title and the context of your post?

It's not about needing assistance. It's a point of pride for a city that was knocked on its ***. A city, 4 years later, still trying to get back up. It's a point of pride, something to rally around. Nothing more, nothing less.
