Just throwing out my complete amazement at how awesome these uniforms are too, just in case JP is reading
heres some trice stripes on the pants:
Again, incredible work! I hate to make more requests of your time, but if you're willing, I wonder what the stripes would look like coming from the bottom of the pants. I love the Trice Stripes idea, but I'm not sure how I feel about these pants.

Edit: I don't actually hate making requests of your time because the results are awesome, but I don't want them to come across as demands. Please always consider my requests at your leisure.

I'm not saying any o this stuff is bad, but I'd like to see more of these renderings under real life lighting. Stark, UV blasted from all angles. I still wonder if that was part of the issue with how the JT throwbacks didn't really end up looking as good as a lot of us thought they would. Dark, dramatic lighting effects do help the look.
I mean basically, the above is, take our uniform now and add the new stripes, true gold helmet and see what you get. I mean put our current uniform in the dramatic lighting of that picture and I feel like it would look substantially better.
I just love the ideas behind it. The JT stripes are wicked.
I would prefer they only be alternates, but damn they would be awesome.
I really do love that as well. Keep I-State as the main logo because we've pumped a lot of money into marketing it. But give us these alternates for one game a year or something.
I think the throwbacks were just ok and the worst part of them was the white numbers. Put white numbers on the above uni and it would ruin it. Also a gold helmet would have made the throwbacks brighter and better imo. It would be great if the above uni would get to the point of a model being made to see what it looked like live. I have a feeling it would be a classic look.
If we got these I'd gladly take one game a year, but why not have the football team wear killer unis all year. Imo we need a uni that becomes associated with ISU and I haven't seen a better one than this. Maybe amestoplease can start producing them himself for sale if the university wants to stick with our current usc models.
Florida State's main logo isn't on the helmet. Neither is Michigan's. We can have our cake and eat it too.
I wonder if JP's lack of comment on these uniform demand's speaks to his own emotional investment in the current ISU image. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in his office when he reads some of the comments on these boards.
He's probably a little more concerned about his blood pressure right now, but when he gets out of surgery- he may have a little down time... Hope he visits this thread.
