No, they are assessing how ready he is to make an impact next year. Very far off from what you are suggesting.

Not sure how someone could not understand the difference between saying a guy will have a tough learning curve jumping from Greek high school basketball to D1 in his first year and saying that they are questioning FH's ability to scout and recruit.

i am confused. i was told that a white unathletic 7-1 kid would not be a good fit for the CFH system.

Nah, just Woodbury. It isn't so much that Adam has white skin or lacks athleticism that makes it so he wouldn't be a good fit it at ISU, it's more that he's just really terrible at the game of basketball.

Again, you are not understanding what I'm saying. There's a difference between raising an eyebrow and saying "this guy shouldn't be on the team." I never once said anybody said this, and again there's a difference between eyebrow raising and the other extreme.

Just go ahead and quote the people who are doing whatever it is you think they are doing and we can discuss it.

Okay - this is how I perceived it as reading through the entire thread. Of course it will be reality to say "I wonder how ready he is" but realize that not everybody is going to interpret what some people say as such.

Here nor there
With virtually no actual information in their assessment. There is very little out there on this kid.
Very little to dispute the thought he may need time to be an impact player as well. Young, skinny 7'1" guys are typically more sought after for potential than current ability to play at a high Big 12 level, and the lack of information says something in itself (in 2014 a 7'1" kid that is already playing at a high Big 12 level would have a lot if info). If you are not wondering the same thing (raising an eyebrow in the words of another poster) you must have a mouthful of sand.
It is possible to be excited about the kid and thrilled with the staff for finding him, but think he is not likely to see many minutes ahead if our other guys next season.

hmmmm...

Kostas Psimoulis @Gus_bball 6m Despite reports, Greek Giorgos Tsalmpouris hasn't committed w/ any D1 school. He'll decide after Greek exams. Will also take visits.

Have a hard time seeing him competing for minutes next season with the talent we already have out there. I think he either redshirts or plays a few minutes during Non-confrerence blowout games. I can see him playing a huge role in a few years after he develops as a college basketball player. Good for him making the decision to come to America to get a good education though!
