I think of it this way. Fred is a basketball master chef, and a 7-footer is an ingredient he has not tried yet.

And much like meat, it is best served with a little age. My video scouting skills usually tell me a 7'1" european skill player will need some time to adapt to the game. Especially when that kid JUST turned 17.

Will be fun to watch him progress...

What are you talking about? No one has questioned the fact that he was given a scholarship.

No but you and many others are saying he won't do anything. We finally get a 7 footer which is what we have been waiting for so I can't believe all the doubters I'm seeing here.

I just read the whole thread. I haven't seen anyone say he won't do anything.

I've seen some imply he won't be an immediate impact player, however--which is hardly a stretch to say.
