Pretty sure it's going to take randle and Russell time to adjust just like every other player
Sure, there's a learning curve. But there are also high expectations for top five draft picks. Adjusting or not, they should be playing better than they have against fringe guys and undrafted free agents just trying to stay on the radar.
That said, two games is a pretty small sample size.
I don't see Randle ever being very good. He got away in college just bullying people and he is bad on the defensive end. I think he will be ok but most likely a bench player.

Russell will be good just because of the vision and smarts he has. He may not live up to being the 2nd pick but he'll be good.
No man, he's already totally as good as Webber or Malone ever were, probably better. Just ask Bringmagicback, or go read a Laker fan site.
I agree with you about both guys, I think Russell will be a good offensive player, I think his defense is a huge question mark and I think his draft position definitely benefited from the year that Steph Curry had.
I hate when player style comparisons are taken out of context and beaten like a strawman with a talent comparison.
Damn. If Clippers can re-sign Big Baby they'll have a legit bench.

He does, but he's way more effective at power forward. That's a big part of why he didn't work out in Detroit alongside Monroe and Drummond.
Doesn't have to. With the league moving towards small ball he can play the 4 and Big Baby can play the 5 and make the second unit. Add Crawford to the 2 and Lance to the 1 (he can play 1-3) and in my mind, that's a really good second unit. The less Austin Rivers minutes, the better.
He just jacks 3's when he plays small forward, and he's not very good at shooting 3's.
I know Blake's improved his mid-range game, but how is playing Blake, DeAndre, and Smith at the same time not a disaster? If they want to save Pierce's legs, the ideal for the Clips would be Lance re-discovering his outside shot.

Blake had a decent 3 pt shot last year (not Kevin Love) and he improves a ton in the offseasons he's had so I expect more 3's from him next year.
