Naz Mitrou-Long: "I'll always be a Cyclone"

You're the man naz! I wish you the best in getting back to 100%. Look forward to seeing you back on the court in 2016

Once again raise the question if he doesn't get the Redshirt does he come back later in the year? I'm hoping he gets it though. Don't want to end you career with an injury like this.

Hopefully somebody else will clarify, but I'm not sure they can even apply for the hardship waiver until after the season, and that wouldn't be an option then. Plus, the NCAA doesn't necessarily on any team's time frame. See Diallo, Cheick.

Love this kid!

But who's he going to room with next year? Might have to get a single room apartment and put a Niang cut-out in the living room. That or he can room with Giant Georges.

I love Naz. Enough said. I hope everyone doesn't go all bonkers and tweet this at Goodman now. Why? Cuz I don't want us to stoop to his level for hm sending out that trash talk tweet. Why would he even bring it up how we'd be next year, much less throw in the zinger about Holberg? Not sure what I'm missing in the whole story.

“For people to say that is crazy,” said Mitrou-Long, who announced Tuesday he’d sit out the rest of the season because his hips aren’t healed enough to allow him to play at his usual high level. “I've dedicated myself. If I was thinking about transferring I would have transferred after my first year when I didn’t play a minute. And I didn’t do that because I’m committed to this program and I'll always be a Cyclone.”

This quote. I like it.

The part I feel worst about for Naz is that he doesn't get to finish his career with Georges, I can't remember having 2 guys who were not only great players but amazing program guys. Two of the classiest and most dedicated Cyclones of all time. Having Naz's leadership back for next season will be enormous, it could even impact Monte's decision.

The possibility of Naz going the grad transfer route never crossed my mind, don't know why everyone got their undies in a bunch.

Frankly I wouldn't have cared if he did. The guy has given us so much, would be hard to have ever rooted against him. Probably becomes my all time favorite cyclone by the end of next season.
