At least that timeline wouldn't be too bad. Plus a hand injury means he can stay up with his conditioning. He can really hone his shot with whatever hand isn't broken

I could see this, just because of the role Watson has and would play in the game and his experience.I'd be amazed if Nojus comes off the bench before Watson if he's healthy. Nojus has a bright future but I think he's found himself in a similar spot to Omaha last year where TJ just doesn't have a ton of trust in him. Watson is a known quality and TJ knows what he will get out of him.
What's great is that nearly any other year if this happened, the sky would be falling and all would be lost. Not great. Not terrible.
Never want to lose a guy even for a game but...
...I don't think Nojus and/or Watson is too terrible a drop.
I agree with the point that Milan 20ish minutes can be absorbed pretty easily. he is clearly the teams best 3pt threat and can't be ignored by opposing defenses to maintain spacing.I was looking at Milan's game logs and was shocked to see he only played 17 minutes vs Tech and 22 minutes vs Utah. He also only played 17 min vs Marquette. And he wasn't in foul trouble those games (he's rarely in foul trouble).
While I would love to have Milan healthy and playing tonight, it may not be as big of a loss as we may think
I know he has 0 offensive game, but man it's fun having them out there to trap and disrupt with his length.Watson time
Gilbert, Lipsey, Heise, Watson, and Jefferson could be our best all around defensive lineup.I know he has 0 offensive game, but man it's fun having them out there to trap and disrupt with his length.

While I fully believe the staff will have a good plan to pivot tom we shouldn't try to underrate Milan not being available (if the rumor is true) can change the game plans for both ISU and the opponents either.

Far too much smoke and detail for it not to be true.
Doubt there's a single thing that pops up until 1.5 hours to tipoff when guys start warming up.Any official statement yet?
